Re: Leak! Water draining out above side door.

Do a search here. Some good info on how to fix this, including supplier and part nos. of rubber seals and trim. You will need thick butyl tape available from auto glass shops. A tedious repair, but should fix your leak. I think root cause is the glass is flat but the window opening is not, so the gl...

Re: Cable TV Port Problem

Tough owning a 20 something year old RV and not be able to work on it. All it takes to access the cables is a screwdriver as I recall. The booster already has a cigarette lighter jack with 12 volts, so could just plug a USB adapter into that. I would take it to an RV shop, but expect to pay around $...

Re: Cable TV Port Problem

If. You have time, remove the closet paneling next to the cable Jack with the booster switch. Airstream wired this incorrectly according to the directions for the booster instalation. They have roof antenna and cable going to a splitter, a no no per directions. I installed a second Jack just for roo...

Babsy You don't mention model year, but my 93 fuel lines at the gen have spring clamps on the ends. Maybe yours are missing.

Re: Generator Quits Running

Remove the cover from the generator and start it. Look for fuel leaks on the 2 rubber hoses before and after the filter. The hose between the filter and carb had a bend. Mine sprung a leak there, causing fuel fumes inside camper. Replaced with new, quality hose and problem fixed.

Re: Secrets of the 92-96 Auxiliary Battery Set-Up

You don't mention what year you have. That does not look like a solenoid to me, maybe a large terminal connector. Could be wrong about that. Sold my 92 last week and all the Ford manuals went with it, so hopefully someone else can help figure it out.

Tip of the day - entry step

I have used this for several years and am happy with it:

After forgetting to remove my prior one twice and running over it I found the above at Harbor Freight. Folds up nicely to throw in behind passenger seat for easy access.

Re: Leak! Water draining out above side door.

Reading through all of the replies, my guess was a faulty reseal job. Maybe it is. The fiberglass window opening is not flat, like the glass is. There is a good 1/8" variance, which I assume is why thick butyl was used to get a seal. It takes a lot of work to clean and replace the butyl and ins...

Re: Condensation under passenger side floor mat

My engine air has never worked, and I don't have a condensation problem. Related" Ref. hot passenger footwell - I would feel around the edge of the engine cover to make sure the rubber gasket is sealing properly. If not, buy some foam insulating strips and stuff along the gap. Makes it quieter ...

Re: Miles left until total failure of 4E0D?

Reddeer I think there are some good shops all around the country. I blew mine on I75 on the way to FL 2 years ago. Was able to limp to Valdosta, GA and lucked out with this shop: http://www.lowndescountytransmissions.com/ I would think if they are a ATRA member they would be okay. Needed new torque ...

While its out, change the oil. Hard to do in situ unless you have a special drain set up.
Glad you found the problem.

Re: Fuse on back of control board?

those generic fuse holders can fail. I had to replace mine. Fuse was good. Do a test across the contacts of the fuse holder with a good fuse.

Re: Window behind couch

Jim i have not had that window out, but on my 93, the window appears to be installed the same way as the upper, large, side windows. You are right about the curvature, which also exists on the upper windows. I repaired those leaky windows several years ago(glass had separated from the butyl), and th...
