Rusty is a pretty dog. Friends of ours have a greyhound rescue named JoJo, and he's very friendly and well-behaved (I guess not all of them are well-tempered, but he certainly is).

Even my original fridge works extremely well, especially now that I got a new gasket on it. I had all kinds of problems with it before that, but I spent $150 or so for a new gasket kit, and I cleaned up the rust and repainted the frame where the gasket contacts. The old gasket had lost its pliancy, ...

Seriously considering it but there is not a lot of love out there for either Norcold or Dometic with regard to refrigerators. Really? I know nothing about Norcold, but Dometic is sort of the quintessential RV appliance maker, and they make the stock fridges in our campers. I'm surprised to hear this.

Sounds good to me. You could throw some solar cells on the roof if you don't have any already to help even more. The power issue is what would stop me, but with the three batteries you should be in good shape for a while (I'd check the amperages and figure out how long you can run it with your batte...

Downtime yesterday...

Sorry about that. The host upgraded the software that runs on the server, and I didn't think the change would affect my account, but it did! Fortunately the fix was easy and we're back up and running.

Pretty much any table design will be limited by the space or lack therof we have in the van.

My original table is in spiffy condition- testament to how useless it is. :P
That's not always possible when you're camping in bad weather or winter cold. :)

Re: Diesel- Anyone have one for sale?

Have a friend who has expressed some interest in a B190 with the 7.3 diesel. Does anyone know how many where made and if any are out there for sale? Any that exist probably would've been a special order - if you check out Airstream's site (or the downloads on this site), the specs for all of them i...

Thanks. It looks like they're using phpBB for the forum software. That's actually the same forum software this site uses, although the php-Nuke people "wrapped" phpBB with the rest of the stuff (the front page, the articles, the FAQ, etc.). I'll have to look later to see how they handle im...

Unfortunately you get what you pay for in forum software...and we paid nothing! :) I'd like to upgrade the forum software to vBulletin (for other reasons), but the fact is that we'd still likely be using Gallery for the images, because vBulletin's built-in photo management is weak. I haven't done th...

Cool idea.

My wife and I are planning to buy a 2 terabyte external drive. We'll rip movies from DVDs on to it, then take it with us in the camper. Plug it into the laptop, instant media for those rainy days!

Mine is a Fantastic Vent, and I think that was what they all got originally. If yours is, too, call them - they'll ship a new one to you for free (my parents just did this themselves).

I have a '91 so I can't answer most of your questions. But my interior lights have recently started staying on, and I discovered the problem is that one of the door switches is going bad (in my case, it's the back door). I wonder if you have something similar going on - i.e., it's much simpler than ...

Yep, you've all managed to freak me out. But I will get it checked and ask my friend how much he actually did drive it. I know it hasn't been on any long trip, but it has been moved locally to various lots they were working on. Thank you for the advice gentlemen (and ladies?). All the best, Cheri S...
