Re: Upper Window

Alaskan has a post from 2010 with all the information you need under campers/exterior/save your upper front windshield. I've cut and pasted the pertinent info but the original post has some good pics. by Alaskan » Thu Jan 21, 2010 9:27 am It was very very easy to install...took me about an hour Purc...

Re: Newbie and Generator starting

Make sure you have enough gas in your gas tank. I seem to remember a post that says the gen won't run if the tank gets too low to prevent you from running out of gas. Try cranking it for 10-15 seconds for about 5 minutes. Check to make sure your plug is firing (not sure how to do this without pullin...

Re: Genarator oil change

My 92 has a hole through the chassis. Just need to crawl underneath. Access is pretty easy. Looks original but the previous owner may have drilled it.

Re: Stabilizer Bars

I read through a bunch of reviews for the active suspension system and they are very mixed. What I came away with is that the system helps a lot if you're towing and helps a little with sway but the consensus seemed to be that the sway bar helped more with roll. Also, several people noted that the r...

Re: Stabilizer Bars

Addco makes one also, model 697. It's a little thinner and looks like it mounts a bit differently. The Hellwig mounts forward of the differential except for a small loop that sticks out a few inches behind the differential. My waste tanks are all the way in the rear (92) so aren't anywhere close to ...

Re: Door light bulbs

The lights do come on when the dash light switch is turned. They also come on when the side entrance door is opened. If you take of the door panel there's you can unplug the wire that leads to the activation switch/button. This will allow you to leave the side entry door open without the front door ...

Re: Subfloor replacement?

Thanks for the research. I noticed on the description that the lens can be tilted down 20 degrees. Don't know how that will work since the mounting surface tilts the other way!

Re: Subfloor replacement?

Anyone taken the brake light out to see if there's a serial number of some kind? I'll take a look at mine since the frame around it is cracked and will post any info.

Re: Gasoline Fumes When Refueling?

I've only noticed it on our 92 when I've tried to manually top the tank. If I just let the pump auto shutoff there's no smell.

Re: Newbies: Please read

If you're worried about the rusted undercarriage there's a spray on undercoating you can get at auto parts or hardware store. It's in a spraypaint size can and works just like spray paint, just a little thicker.

Re: Rain water seeping under refrigerator.

There's also a little drain pan in the fridge under the freezer. Check to see if this is filling up and leaking out the fridge door.

Re: Stabilizer Bars

I agree. I put on a nice set of Bilstein shocks to replace the 20+ year old originals and that made a huge difference. I then added the rear anti sway bar that helped make for a much more securer feeling ride. Haven't done the front yet and Not sure that I will since it already has a front anti sway...

Re: Floor Mats

make sure you get E350 mats not F350 which is a pickup truck. I think any Econline mats should fit.
