Congratulations!
Since it's been sitting so long, double check the tires if they haven't been replaced recently. They may have good tread on them, but if they're at least 5 years old they're going to be weather beaten pretty badly and are probably due for replacement.

Kitchen faucet...
Okay, this has been an ongoing issue, and I've fixed it several times, but now it has come up again... Basically, sometimes the kitchen faucet will run very slowly on one side and be fine on the other side. I know it's not water pressure because the shower and toilet work fine. Sometimes it's the ho...

Re: shocks vs loose steering
Skater ; you said you had new shocks installed a while back and you were experiencing a loose steering feeling. You never followed up on this as to the cause or remedy. The reason I am asking is last year I had new ball joints and heavy duty shocks installed. The steering was perfect before the wor...
Re: water leak & level
thanks for the reply it's parked on a flat spot... pretty level... yeah, I thought about water in there just creeping up to the front, but there's been so much - I'm guessing the front side window(s) are the culprit I've bought some window sealant and looked at them, but it's not obvious where I wo...
Do you park your camper off level? Ours is pretty severely down at the front left if we park it facing out the driveway, and the window would leak. The shop was pretty confident they had the leak fixed. Now I have it parked facing up the driveway, and it's not leaking at all. It shouldn't leak at an...

not really sure skater, mine was a 95 and it instantly started getting super cold as soon as I turned it on. We could put ice cream in this thing within 20 min. and never worry about thawing. It was a great fridge, but I always wished I would have had the gas option especially after dry camping for...

Hey there skater and planck, have been reading your comments about the fridge and am just wondering. When the fridge is in 12v mode, just exactly what is going on. What is actually happening in the 'maintenence mode'? Is there some kind of a sepeate refrigeration unit built in the fridge? I'm not f...

Okay, you answered one part, that the fridge kicks in in 12 volt when igition is on. The relay on mine was to the left of the power panel, sort of down on the floor. My guess is because of the 10 amp draw, either Airstream or someone added the relay. Since I hardwired the 12 volt fridge, it was alw...

Interesting. My fridge actually has 12 volt power when the ignition is on, and not while it is off. My understanding is that this is because the alt can produce enough power for the fridge while it's running (10 amps, if you're curious), but it'll quickly kill a battery if the engine is off. The odd...
