Adding an extra spare wheel

This may seem like an odd question. We need to carry an extra spare wheel (2 in total) as we're traveling to South America, and everyone recommends taking two spares. My question is, has anyone got any ideas of where the extra could be mounted? I already have one on the back, I was thinking of putti...

External propane hook-up

As we will be living in our B190 for the next year, and heading to South America, we decided we wanted an external propane hook-up for a grill, so we could cook outside enjoying the view and keeping the inside of the van cool. There were a couple of options. 1) Install an extend-a-stay or similar. 2...

Re: New members in Michigan

Thanks, we are really looking forward to the trip. Just got the solar panels in the mail, and we're gonna install them next week. We've already swapped out the AC for a second fantastic vent, and removed the generator for storage for an outside stove (which will run off the van propane). I've been l...

Re: Light bulbs...

Hi Seaquin, we replaced the light bulb with an LED from Amazon, it's a lot whiter than the yellow bulb, but it does the job.

Re: How to remove the generator

Hi Dan, I didn't have anything coming out of the bottom except the exhaust. There were only 3 bolts holding the generator in place, I could reach a wrench through a small hole and drain the oil from the unit itself, from under the van. I don't think we have the same set up, maybe someone with a late...

Re: How to remove the generator

I just removed my generator last weekend, as we are putting it up for sale. It is a 93, so bear that in mind. Remove the exhaust on the generator. Undo the clamps, and wiggle with WD40. You should get 2 pieces, a L shaped pipe, and a corrugated pipe. There were 3 bolts holding the generator in, acce...

Re: Fuel Supply....

I know it's an old thread, but thought this was relevant.i just removed the generator from my 93 which only has one tank, and boy was it hard getting to find the tee. In the end I removed the extension that ran to the generator and plugged the remaining line with a barb attachment and cap. http://up...

Re: Onan Generator

It's now out of the van, and in the garage. Here's a couple more pics to show its condition. Still asking $1,200, PM me an offer. Thanks. Onan Generator

Hi, We are about to remove our generator from the van, and install a solar set up. The generator starts right up, and runs strong. It's in great condition, with low hours. It needs to be serviced, filters, timings, etc. and it will be in perfect shape. '93 Onan 2.8 kw MicroLite Generator. 52 hours t...

Re: Light bulbs...

We just replaced all our bulbs with LEDs we got from amazon. We replaced the main fluorescent, it gives off a bright light that seems almost exactly the same as the fluorescent, and the bulbs seem pretty good quality. We did need to wire them in ourselves, and not use the supplied wires as they were...

Re: New members in Michigan

Thanks, this page has a lot of really useful information. We'll be modifying our van to make it easier for boondocking, as we plan to do this as much as possible. We'll be sure to post pics after each job. Looking on Amazon at solar panels now! Thanks, hope you had a nice 4th as well! It was my firs...

We bought this our b190 as we plan on driving down to South America at the start of next year, and this v...
