Hi There
Does anyone have or have had any issues with pcu ?? I have a constant check engine light on shortly after engine warms up ,
Mechanic has done full diagnostic tree and comes back to replace pcu .... has anyone experience with this ? Cost , sourcing replacement part ?? I’m told $900 for part plus labor here in NJ
Any inside would be great
Thx Paul

What year? It seemed like the '93s were having a lot of trouble with the engine computers suddenly failing due to corrosion on the boards. It was strange - there were several within a year or so, but we haven't heard of any since. Finding a replacement board was a problem since Ford no longer makes them, but people did find a source.

Hi Skater
My B190 is a 94 ,( must send vin #to add to database) I’m told pcu needs a rebuild , runs perfectly but the ENG light is on after warms up and code is for EGR..... If anyone knows where to source part ..give me a shout
Cheers

Here’s a link to a good article on EGR codes https://www.youfixcars.com/egr-codes/
A new ecu ecm runs about $300 but it could just be the egr valve at $65

The VSS also sets that light off and is a common flaw on b190s
