1992 B190 Only 23,500 Miles-- LOTS of New Stuff! $16,900

Post by EverAfterRanchMotors »

Well, The Boss just asked me to take down this post. She doesn't like to do local sales after this much time at auction-- wouldn't be fair to those who have waited. It will sell Sunday evening-- no reserve. We'd like to thank the administration very much for allowing us to get the word out here on the Enthusiasts forum! We got A LOT of phone calls from folks who saw it here first!

I admit, I'm new to the group. It made sense that a site called B190 Enthusiasts would be interested in the existence of a B190 for sale. We sell about 20 vehicles and trailers per year, mostly Airstream travel trailers, and only have a license because the state of Arizona forced us to get a license in order to enjoy what was only a hobby.

Heather (The Boss) has been an Airstream and classic car nut since she was merely a teenager, and being something of a non-millionaire, she was never able to enjoy a collection of great American classics. Instead, she would buy a car-- love it, drive it, fix it, whatever it needed-- then when another car caught her fancy, she would trade or sell and buy... basically doing what we all do, right? Well Arizona has a little law stating citizens of our great state can't buy, sell, trade, or even advertise more than three vehicles within any twelve month period without obtaining a dealer's license.

Unwilling to give up her love for Airstreams and automobiles, she spent thousands of dollars and bought a 6000 square-foot building, crawled through miles of red tape, and came out the other end as a licensed, bonded auto dealer. When the real estate market tanked, her hobby turned into our bread and butter. She goes the extra mile to make people happy with their purchases. She doesn't charge doc fees or other BS charges that typical dealers tack on when you buy something. It's been a real kick in the head hearing time after time that people don't want to deal with us because we're just mean, nasty, blood-thirsty dealers. Believe me, I get it-- I hate used car salesmen as much as the next guy.

But if you'll give Heather a call, you'll see that she's no fast-talking swindler. I've seen her rebate thousands of dollars after an auction simply because she didn't feel the trailer was worth as much as the high bidder had offered. She does the right thing and her feedback reflects that.

If the "no dealers" rule has to upheld here, I understand and I won't be shocked if the ad isn't here later. But if folks here might be interested in a B190 for sale, I'll make sure to have a price sometime tomorrow if the ad's still up.

Feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns.

You mean your boss noticed that the ebay ad went beyond the $16,900 asking price so she told you to quickly pull the ad here? The ebay buyer who paid $23,406 would be understandably upset finding out they over paid by $6506. 8O

Alaskan and I discussed the no-dealers rule, and I couldn't see a problem... this isn't supporting my case. I'm locking this thread until we decide whether we should revise the rules.
