This vehicle was created by Airstream to tow their larger trailers and provide the owners with a travel vehicle while the trailer was in camp. It has a towing package and set up with electric brake control. It is rated to tow 5,000 lbs that does not mean that you can put a motorcycle on the front end and tow 5,000 lbs, it was not meant to have anything on the front end of the vehicle blocking the radiator.

This ad has been run before about a month or so ago, a gentleman came to look at it and decide not to buy it, his comments as I recall were:
The engine seems to run hot.
I want to tow two Harley Motorcycles on a trailer and put one on the front.
The rust on the rear was not indicated in the ad and seems a little more than I expected.
The generator does not start.

I think that was about it. Response to those questions are
The Engine seems to run Hot:
460cc/7.5L temperature? http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/10052 ... ure-s.html

The engine was worked on 11/21/2012
The old refrigerant was replaced and a retrofit kit was installed, it was recharged with oil and R134a and tested for operation and leak test.
Manifold set was installed
Fan belts were replaced (alternator, air pump, a/c and p/c)
Drive be lt tensioner assembly was replaced
Radiator Cap Replaced
Thermostat and housing gasket was replaced
Coolant was replaced and cooling system was flushed
Oil filter
Hoses replaced: by pass, radiator upper and lower, heater hose to heater core, and all clamps
Spark Plugs and wires replaced
Air Filter
Distributor cap and rotor
Radiator (yep it has a new one!)
Fuel injector O-ring kit
Distributor mounting O-ring
Total cost $3,396.00

I want to tow two Harley Motorcycles on a trailer and put one on the front.
Well that was and easy question to answer, No you can’t do that, this was asked during a uphill test drive that he requested at the end of the interview.

The rust on the rear was not indicated in the ad and seems a little more than I expected.
The ad was very explicit and originally I had photos of the outside but Ebay has a 24 picture limit and I had to delete those photos to answer a request for photos for the inside! But he did have the photos of the rust prior to looking at the vehicle.

The generator does not start.
The generator was worked on 10/30/12. I start the engine (both batteries are on battery tenders), generator and top air conditioner (to put a load on the generator) once a month. After he mentioned it I got it started after three tries and waiting for a few minutes between to make sure I didn’t flood it. I think it needs to be cleaned and tuned up again.
The carburetor, air filter and exhaust pipe was replaced and tuned up in 10/30/2012 cost at that time was $429.99.

Other work Done:
Front Doors worked on in 11/16/2012, Both front door window motors were replaced. $704.00

Before a trip in May of 2009 I had the transmission serviced and checked, all was ok. $133.00

And a CARFAx was run by me in 04/1/2005 with nothing reported!

Mechanically maintained. Shows her age (surface rust on hood, rear corners, upper rear windows on the frame). The surface rust is very light since the vehicle has been in southern California it’s entire life, needs a paint job, and is still in terrific condition with LOW mileage. Have the Original Manuals on all components, Owner Guides, Promotional Material, and Extensive Vehicle Records from current and previous owners. More info and pictures available. Come take a look at it. Email Me: Digital_Eye@hotmail.com

The RV has been in southern California for all of it's life and has been 4-5 miles from the coast it's just the paint that Airstream used over the original ford metal flake was the problem. When I do pass one of the B190's on the street the all seem to be repainted.
