1993 B190 for sale in North Carolina sold

Post by Adkins family »

Greetings all,

We have decided to sell our B190. She has been a great vehicle, runs fine, Less than 66,000 miles. New michelin tires, Bilstein shocks, upgraded sway bars, Safe t bar,
New stereo and speakers, (Blue-tooth comptible for your phone or music playing devices) custom window shades, (for sun protection and privacy while camping) tinted windows, vent visors, new main ship battery, new fuel pump. She is very clean inside and out, motor starts every time and runs strong, around town we average 11 mpgs.
There is NO on board generator. We purchased her without one. You will find one very small chip in the windshield that was repaired by Safe Flight. I also have a suspension riser kit uninstalled that was purchased from Alaskan on this site.

As a family, our focus has changed and we have decided on another source of transportation for our leisure activities. I am currently driving the van at least once a week, just to keep the fluids flowing. I will say that every time she is out and about I field questions and compliments about the B190. The picture posted below are from 2015 prior to the window tint and vent visors. For you long time members, you may remember this vehicle, she was listed on ebay with over 100 photos attached to the post. I brought the van down from Maryland back in November 2015. She is listed at $15,500.00 I have many photos from the original listing I purchased her from and will take any photos a interested buyer would like to see.

I hope you get what you are asking for this nicely kept 1993 B190. No doubt you have that much money in the camper and someone would like a nice rig for that amount of money. Good Luck! Had the generator been on board and working it would have been reasonable for you to ask $18,000. No, I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs just know the value of traveling lightly and with ease.

Mountaindent,

Thanks for the support, I do think it is a fair asking price. I actually paid $17K back in 2015 and this was before the upgrades listed above were added. She is turn key, there is a dual mounting point reese hitch rack that can be used off the front or back. The previous owner added this to haul his generator along with other items. I've attached photos just in case someone wanted to see how it looks with the rack installed.

Cheers!

Your B190 is beautiful! I am looking for an Airstream van for myself and I think this could fit the bill. Assuming it is still available, I have many questions. What other expenses would I have such as taxes & licensing. I live in Seattle so hopping in my car to come see it is not likely. I could look into flying out there to inspect it. I certainly would be capable of determining if the interior is acceptable but mechanically, I would have to put some trust in your word & possibly someone there who could inspect it for me.

This really is the first time looking at making this large a financial investment over the internet. It's a bit scary but lets get a dialogue started and see if this is something that can be worked through.

I am recently retired and would be driving this myself. I am open to suggestions on how best to get it from the east coast to the left coast in a safe and economical way.

Please let me know if it is still available and how do we proceed from here.

Thank you, Andrea

Andrea,

Thank you for your reply. Yes the van is still available. I suggest you contact your DMV for answers regarding taxes and licensing. I agree with your scepticism on making big purchases over the internet. I myself have had good luck in the past but it only takes one bad experience to really set you back. My wife and I purchased the van back in Nov 2015, saw it on Ebay and decided to pay the asking price and not take a chance on losing a bid. We have been very happy with this van although we haven't used it as much as we thought we would. We are both still working and it seems like our weekends get booked up really quick. The van is in great shape inside and out. If you read through some of the threads on this sight you will see common suggestions as to tires, shocks, and other items. We followed the advice and experiences of others in this group in an effort to make our van safe and reliable. I have mixed feelings on letting her go, especially now I am fielding questions and interest about the van. As stated there is no generator installed. We average about 11 MPG on the highway and 10 MPG running around town. I hope this helps with your decision, but I will say it's a long way between the left and right coast. We are about as far east as you can get living on the coast of North Carolina. If you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.. I was taught many years ago, a good deal is only a good deal if both parties are happy. I will only pass on information that I know to be true. That being said she is a 25 year old classic and unique camper.

Best regards,
Michael

Beaniecounter68 its a nice one I have a 93 also and love it. I understand your a long way from the Carolinas if you were to drive it figure on 12 miles to the gallon max and four days if your not stopping to see the sights. This time of year its going to be a challenge. Look online find a ford dealership close to inspect it they shouldn't charge to much just for inspection. If the current ower has all the receipts and the airstream factory build book for it that will tell you what has been done buy the him and the previous owner its worth its wight in gold.
Here is a auto transport brokers number that specializes in moving
vehicle's cross country. She can give you a quote. It cost me roughly $1000 to bring mine into California from Colorado tax and license. Im shure Washington its some what cheeper.
Hope this helps.Image

1993 B190 for sale in North Carolina sold

Post by seano »

Hi Michael,

I’ve been looking for a nice b190 for a couple weeks. If for some reason there is an issue with your pending sale please let me know. I’ve owned a couple class C RVs and a CCD Airstream trailer. I’ve also purchased lots of equipment over the internet for my business and am totally comfortable with the process.

I can tell from the pictures that your rig is beautiful. I’m am willing and able to wire funds immediately. I would be able to fly out and drive it back to Colorado next week.

My number and email are [redacted].

Please let me know either way.

Thanks! Sean

Glad you sold your camper and others can join the B190 Airstream family. I went to an Airstream Mountain Air Gathering this weekend in Hiawassee, Georgia. The B190 is welcomed and the tour part of the weekend gave me a chance to show off the B190 to many Airstreamers that had never seen one.
