faux finish replaces deteriorated wallpaper of bathroom

Post by okaynagan »

With the aid of the heat gun removal of that blister and peeling wallpaper from the tub walls was acomblished. The contact adhesive came off but left the stain behind; such a pity because the wood underneath the wallpaper had a nice grain to it that a couple coats of polyurethane would be all it needed

Being the reddish tint would not leave without major chemical intervention I opted for a faux paint finish, marble. Something I saw in a book and always wanted to try. The hubby was weary of the idea but I reasoned it could always be painted over if it were too much chaos.

This project may have converted him to embracing more of my decorative plans for the Okanagan. That maybe one of the reasons why the van the sold with hours after we listed it.

I would have like to have post images of the results but "the board attachment quota has been reached." I'm not certain of what to do next.

I believe the limit is 3 photos to a single post. You can add a reply to your original post and add another 3 photos. :D
