BROKEN SEAT RECLINE CABLE?
Last night, while trying to un-recline the seat In order to rotate it, the passenger side cable may have snapped?
I opened the arm-rest... the cable is still attached correctly on this end. Tried a gentle pull with pliers to no affect. I have tried looking UNDER the seat, but the only cable there is for rotation.
Is there a way to get to the recline mechanism and try to see if the cable is repairable without tearing off the new upholstery we just installed a few months ago??
Or any way to try to at least hit the recline mechanism with pliers to get the seat into a good condition?

Re: How to repair a Broken Recline Cable In Passsenger Seat?
That's a bummer. I am having the same issue with mine. I have a 1993. I am thinking of pulling the whole seat off the base to get a better look at things. It seems to me that the recline mechanism is only going to be visible if you can expose the seat with the backrest. I don't know enough about the seats yet to be sure.
