Is there any way to save posts to my computer. I'd like to keep a file of some of the suggestion/repairs for future reference. Tried search on the module side by entering "caulking" but didn't find latest posts on caulking. Is max search period 3 months?

Moved to website/forum issues.

First, I'm not sure how the built-in search function works - I'll have to check that and get back to you. Ideally it would scan the entire site and give you results, but I'm not sure precisely how it does that.

I don't know of a way to save the posts other than just copying the text and pasting it into a file. Or you could just save the link to the thread - it should always work.

Quick update: it looks like the search box is just searching the stories posted to the front page (such as the fishing and the new B vans stories). That won't do...we need forum searching, too.

Until I figure out how to get an integrated search function, you can click the "Search" link at the top of the forum to search within the forums.

May be me, but the only way I have found to save information from posts is to save to My Computer as a Text File (*.txt). Once there I can not copy or paste but can delete or cut text that I don't need. I can then save it to a Folder on My Computer. Trying to to copy, paste from thread says you have to copy paste from a PHP module, which may be administrator controlled. I can also print thread or saved information from Folder.

I'm not sure what you mean when you can't cut and paste after it's on your computer in a text file - it ought to work just fine.

Robert..... create a folder in your My Documents using MS Works of Word

Title it sometime like "Airstream Posts"....

You'll simply be able to open that and copy & paste anything you chose out of the forums here and install them into that folder...

For easy access to that folder install a short cut icon to it on your Desktop screen...

At any time you can add or remove text....

Occasionally the site seems to "time out" so I do get blank pages from time to time - haven't had one on logout but I have had it in a couple other places, but nothing consistent that I can complain to the provider about.
