Detachable Power Cord Modification...
My plastic power cord hatch broke the other day. Since I needed to replace the hatch, I took the opportunity to switch over to a detachable shore power cord instead of fighting with stuffing the old 30ft factory attached cable through the power hatch opening to get it into the belly of my B190. The detachable cord is much easier to coil and stow. I chose the metal inlet. The inlet cover has a spring catch that holds the cover up out of the way while connecting the power cord. The power cord has a twist ring to secure the detachable cable to the inlet with a water tight seal. The hardware is "ParkPower by Marinco".

Yep, nice mod. Did mine in a similar fashion last summer. I like your cover a bit more than mine.
Just get on the Bus!!

Very nicely done Jim.....!
Neat pistol-grip right angle cord end, I like that...never seen that before

Nice, I may have to think about doing that conversion in the future.

Re: Detachable Power Cord Modification...
I somehow missed this post but have just cut my cord where it was needed, added a 30 amp male and female plug/recept from home depot and now coil easily the cord and stow it without the hassel. I kept the original portal cover and it looks just the same outside. It cost nearly 50 buck for the m/f ends but is worth it. And I wont need help getting it pulled out nor stuffed back in its rightful place. dave
