How to Remove Fridge Vent Panel?

Anybody know how to remove the fridge Vent Panel?

I took the 16 screws out and its glued pretty solid. Should I use a heat gun? Do I glue it again after I replace it?

Thanks y'all! Happy Trails!

Flue Drop? Crossing into MX tomorrow

Heya! Merry Christmas ya'll! So I'm on a crazy adventure down the PanAm highway, just crossing into Mexico tomorrow. Checked and rechecked the van, hit the road. Today the fridge wouldn't get cold even though the flame was lit the whole time. Check on it to find this: IMG_20151224_192954617~3.jpg So...

Re: Winter camping

One other thing to note: if you don't have snow tires, these things are a runaway train in the snow. I invested in (4) NICE quick-connect tire chains. Worth every penny. Spend a little extra and get the nice ones as they're easier to put on, and the easier to put on the more you'll do it. I put them...

Re: Winter camping

Heya - I've spent a few winters high up in the rockies in the B190. No hook-ups. Here's what I can tell you: I put two 100# propane tanks mounted to a cargo carrier on the hitch. Run a propane line in through the back window to a catalytic heater mounted by the stove. It doesn't produce any off-puts...

Furnace Screech - Upgrade Options?

Heya guys - The furnace screech topic has been covered well on this site. Just wondering two things: Did those of you who replaced the motor find it easy to get the parts? Did you go OEM or replace the whole unit? Second: I dry-dock every winter in Colorado. (-0 degree temperatures, etc.). Is there ...

Mark -

Thanks a lot for posting that information. I'll look into it - definitely not a project for the faint of heart! Keep us up when you use it how it goes.

Re: Installing Solar Panels

Mark - Wow, very nice install. Thank you for documenting! Do you mind providing the materials and approximate cost you've used? Which panels, converter, battery, etc. did you go with? I'm in Indiana and am considering the upgrade if the numbers fit. I am experienced in carpentry but electricity is n...

Flexsteel "Lifetime Warranty" Is A Joke

Heyo! A little PSA regarding the captain chairs. As must of you know, Flexsteel provided the captain chairs in most of our vans. As most of you know, the mechanism to recline or swivel usually breaks on these. I decided to follow up with Flexsteel ONLY asking for a parts diagram so I could order par...

Re: removing my generator

I would ditto what everyone else is saying if only because removing it is a pain in the rear (have you cut wires because there's no harness to remove it is what a Cummins tech told me) and you really don't gain that much storage space. Nice picture by the way - I spent a few weeks out in Hood in the...

Re: DISC BRAKES!?!

I had an almost identical issue last winter immediately after a brake job. The rubber boots on my calipers literally CAUGHT FIRE and melted off. Going through Death Valley I had to pull over every 15 minutes and let them cool for 15, spray some cool water on them, and drive another 15 minutes. Ended...

Re: Original fridge, toilet, bathroom parts, up for grabs!

Heya - Just a friendly piece of advice - I removed the toilet planning to upgrade a few years ago only to find the height of that toilet (Aqua Magic IV I believe) is rare. Most new unit's I looked at replacing it with were either too tall (cabinets couldn't open) or ridiculously short. Just somethin...

Re: Increasing Overall capacity of the fuel tanks

Never tried to add one, but... My '94 has two tanks, total of 30 +/- gallons I believe. A third could be doable? Never really looked around down there with that in mind. I have a Chevy C4500 which does not read the amount of fuel in the second tank. I.E., I fill it up, and it goes to 3/4. Pain in th...

Cheap Captain Seat Covers - Where to Buy?

Tsup - Just returned from 3.5 months in the B-190 (Kurt VaughnRV). Awesome time. Broke some stuff, fixed some stuff, broke more stuff, drank stuff, climbed stuff, skied stuff. The dog's claws, which are always wonderfully manicured, did a number on the fabric portion of the front seats (Flexsteel). ...

You, sir, are exactly right. All it needs is a rubber boot to cover it - crisis averted.

Thanks for the help gentlemen.

Outlets - Shore Power Only?

Noob question again -

Do the outlets only work when on shore power? Mine definitely don't work on battery power - do they work when the generator is running?

Thanks.
