I have a '96 with the kitchen on the passenger side. It does have an awning. In the gallery under 'Northstar' you can see a photo of where it is attached. It is up pretty high, works well. Makes a really big difference.

I bought the Sreenz products for the front windows and they work very well. But, I agree, for the door they are v. pricey. I think Sportsmobile also makes one for the Ford vans, but could not find it on their website. The DIY approach I might have to try this summer...

Also, after several trips at 80psi, and experiencing such a rough ride, I have lowered the air pressure to 72 in the rear and 70 in the front. It really makes a difference, may go down to 65 in front. If I am really loaded up at the next trip might go up to 75 in the rear. I had kept them at 80 psi ...
