Re: House battery not charging from alternator

I looked up that Cole Hersee relay number 24106BX. It shows a barrel shaped relay. The one behind the left headlight on my 94 is rectangular. Does it make any difference? They both have 3 terminals but the original relay has a large terminal on each end and a small push on terminal on the top. Is it...

Re: Water Heater Door Replacement

Lowe's sells a Rust-Oleum spray can identical to the lighter of the two blues used in striping. It's called " 7724 Sail Blue". Other outlets probably carry it also. It's a popular color these days.

Fading paint solution...Petroleum Jelly (again)

My camper stays outside, although I cover it during the hot summer. In the past 2 years, i've noticed that the paint looked dulled, almost as if the water runoff caused dull streaking on the body. It was first noticed on the black door handles and when the sun was striking the paint it at an angle. ...

Surge protectors or only indicators

I've been looking at surge protectors lately to add to the camper, either permanently mounted or portable. Some customer comments on Amazon say that the ones around the the $100 price range are only indicators, not actually protectors that shut off and reset after detecting low power or surges. Some...

Inside hanger over tub for wet items

I found this item at Ikea. The rods pull out for extended drying. It is attached to the side of the bathroom mirror as shown with included screws. If there is no store near you it can be ordered online. The price was $12. When not in use it can be pushed back, out of the way.

Re: '94 Cracked stripes!! ...ideas?

For faded and cracked striping, i finally resorted to paint. I found a new product at Lowe's called Rust-Oleum Universal Bonding Primer. It's a light grey color and bonds topcoat to difficult surfaces. Procedure: 1. Carefully tape off the stripe ( mine was the lighter blue stripe) Sand down the stri...

Re: Microwave

Finally figured this one out. The wood finish strip under the microwave that keeps the front feet restrained is attached to a sliding panel. This panel is equipped with two cabinet latches at the rear of the panel behind the microwave. To remove the microwave, lift the microwave slightly and pull on...

Re: 1995 B190 Full restoration

What is that small square box protrusion just in front of the A/C on the roof? Your early picture shows DC wires on/in it. Later pictures show it removed after the coating was applied. From the inside it looks to be located where the fluorescent tube light is installed.

Re: Shower/Tub rehab of Keystone's '94 van

I'm just finishing up the same project with my '94. I removed the tub to coat. My tub sits in a wooden pre built surround so that once i reinstall it I have no way to see if the the bottom of the tub sits firmly on on the bottom of the box which has a hole in it for the drain. My tub is not cracked ...

Re: restoring luster to fiberglass top

I just used something I bought at the grocery store Scotch Brite or something. Don't think it matters if it's scratch proof. The idea is to get the petroleum jelly on the surface. The scrubby side just helped to rub away the oxidation a bit. You don't even have to rub hard....just work the jelly int...
