Anyone replace your standard lighting with LEDs?

This looks like an upgrade I'll be doing soon also. Thanks for the tips.

Snow and Ice questions

Our B190 is our winter ski chalet also. Our home resort is Mammoth, Ca and we always have awesome experiences when we use it. We always carry chains and with a little pre-planning and flexibility have never been stranded. Usually the nights are in the low to mid teens but well above freezing in the ...

Cab Center Console and Captain's Chairs

If I'm not mistaken, 92-96 models are the same so that may increase your chances of finding a doghouse cover. I found one at the local junkyard that was in perfect condition just a couple of months ago. I ended up giving my "pretty good" older one away. For the console attachment, like oth...

Generator Install

I had mine running almost constantly last summer on a tour through the South in record breaking temps (115F) and high humidity and didn't have an issue with overheating. IN racked about 200 hrs on the genset that trip.

Re: Newbie NW Indiana and repainting question

I just went by a shop in Ventura, CA that was recommended by a few local people....Saticoy Auto Body. The owner is Adolfo. He showed me his booth which is about 15 ft high. He has quite a nice shop. He said he would do the job for $6500. This includes changing the color from white to silver if I cho...

Re: coach battery

Glad you found out the problem and it was not an expensive fix.

I share your feeling about the B190's. They are really well made and compact. They have everything we need.

Re: can you charge the van battery with 120 connected

The house battery(s) should charge when you are connected to shore power. You can quickly tell by checking the battery level gauge that you should have somewhere on your rig.

Your engine battery is NOT charged when you are connected to shore power.

Banks PowerPack

After yet another exhaust leak sprang up on a recent trip (the last one was fixed last June), we decided to go a different route. The Banks PowerPack system. http://bankspower.com/products/show/139/46 Since Azusa, CA is about 1hr from our town - I decided to have them do the job. Thanks to Rich Norm...

Re: 1993 turbo diesel 4WD in CA on eBay

I've seen this rig before as Ojai is about 40 minutes from our home and we frequent the town. It seemed well kept. I think that the final price is not surprising - I would have been in the runnings for this one but I was a day late to logging in. A custom 4x4 conversion is several thousands and a di...

Replacement Curtains

I purchased blackout fabric from Joanns and new airstream style hooks from the local RV supply. I added a bottom channel to the window behind the couch so it stays flush with the window....then I went to a local drapery shop and had them sewn. I'm happy with it. Some shops I talked to were hesitant ...

Differences between the years of campers...and bed sizes

Yes there's 5 of us. We didn't want a big class C and the B190 really is one of the few rigs that has the ability to accommodate us all. We are a family of backpackers though so a rig like the B190 is plush in comparison to a tent. My 3 boys are still small and they don't mind at all - they are cons...

Newbie NW Indiana and repainting question

I had a quote recently of around $14k and that was leaving the fiberglass top untouched. It almost sounded like they didn't want to do the job. This place advertised that they did RV's but in reality they probably did just 1 or 2 and now call themselves the experts. I know that some have taken their...

B190 handling on beaches?

I think sand driving is a really good excuse to get the 4x4 conversion (don't tell your wife I said that.) I personally wouldn't try the stock B190 in sand unless it was wet and sufficiently hard packed...and I absolutely needed to. And I would be sure to deflate the tires considerably...and test in...

Differences between the years of campers...and bed sizes

Thanks for the confirmation BobbyV. So then the extension is actually longer than the fixed portion by 3 inches. It must extend past the front of the fixed portion when stored? That's good to know that there is no loss of length and the width is only 6 inches of loss...and that is made up for in a l...
