I purchased my van in December 2013 and went to work on it There was a leak in the ceiling, a couple of pipes t...

Re: best way to get out of overhead bed
I also got rid of the ladder and replaced it with a small folding step stool. To get in I go step stool, couch, counter, and then bed. Reverse to get down

Wow! Looks great. I like that natural wood look, matches the rest of the interior better than original.

Re: Anyone happy with pre-97 shower curtain?
Keystone-
One standard shower curtain was big enough to make both pieces I needed for my shower. I used a fabric shower curtain to make it easier to cut and sew.

I like that idea of putting a curtain between the two open doors, very creative and functional!

Re: Anyone happy with pre-97 shower curtain?
When I re did my bath I kept the same shower curtain set up. I didn't cut the top of the curtain like the original (I just kept it straight) but my shower head isn't mounted that high. I also didn't put any Velcro on the edges, I just made it a little wider so the two overlapped. The only advice I c...

Re: Rallies and Other Events?
I went to my first two rallies this summer; DenCo WBCCI rally and RMVAC Rally. They were both fun but I personally had more fun at the vintage rally (your rig doesn't actually have to be vintage). The vintage rally was a lot bigger but they only have one for the summer. I would be interested in atte...

Re: Replacing Sofa/ Bed
I had my couch professionally redone and it really made a huge difference in the whole interior. One thing to consider is the fold down center that you would lose if you were to put in an aftermarket replacement. If you live in Colorado and need a good shop I can send you info on the shop I used. It...

Opening the rear windows
When first purchasing my B190 I noticed the rear windows would not open. After chatting with another B190 owner they had the same problem. I figured out that there was a screw placed into the window latch, I'm assuming by Airstream. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to open the rear windows but I j...

Re: How does the refer work?
I've learned that the fridge will at most just maintain temp while using the 12V mode (which only works with the engine running). This is my first season with my van but I have had the same tank of propane and haven't had to refill it yet after running the fridge for total about 6 days. It uses a ve...

Re: Driver side skirt/step replacement options?
The only thing that looks odd is the propane system is just hanging out there for all to see but overall I like it better without the skirts. It takes a bit more to step up inside also, of course. I was just planning on using a portable step when camped out.

Re: Driver side skirt/step replacement options?
I decided to remove mine for quite a few reasons but mostly for easier access to the propane connection. I'll hold on to them for anyone who would like them. They need some paint but the fiberglass is in good shape. There is a cut out for the gen exhaust on the driver's side. I'm not sure if that wa...

Re: Member Sighting?
I think a Sept get together would be great!
I spotted a fellow B-190 in downtown Florence, CO last weekend. It was in a parking lot and no one was "home" but it was cool to have my first b190 sighting.

Re: Weight restrictions top bed
The only concern I would have is the slide out part of the bed. My girlfriend was up there and it was bowing a little (hopefully she'll never read this), she's only about 150. I would agree it's probably about 450-500. If you had a lot of weight up there often I would probably re-enforce the slide o...
