Re: An Idea for Solar Panel Installation

Did you ever do this? I’m just seeing your post now. There is a YouTuber, PandaMonium, who did this on her first RV. She has a class A now IIRC. But she started out in a Lazy Daze Class C with a solar awning. I’d never seen anything like it before or since, but you could probably learn from her old ...

Re: B190 decal

I think that ship closed. I found and purchased another one, more realistic and in color. But now she doesn’t have any listings.

B190 spotted on “Law & Order: SVU”

My mom actually spotted this and asked, “Isn’t that your van?” [emoji23] The pics aren’t great. Hulu won’t allow screenshots, so I took photos of my iPad. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220109/d881786b0161a17d6d18feeacf33bde0.jpg Season 23, episode 10 “Silent Night, Hateful Night.” Aired January...

Re: Buying it back...

I guess. I originally bought a wired one on Amazon. I took it to a local place that installs stereos, speakers, and back up cameras. The guy told me mine wasn’t good enough, tried to upsell an expensive off brand and then quoted me a couple hundred for repairs. He insisted a wireless one wouldn’t wo...

Re: Buying it back...

Wow! That’s a lot of planned renovations/upgrades. I admire your vision. The shower pan does seem useful. I’ve thought of that or just converting the tub to storage. Right now, it holds my Yeti tanks and the Yeti itself. Last trip, I had a cooler back there as well. I think one of the good things ab...

Re: Buying it back...

Wow! That’s a big project. We definitely ended up with the right rigs. I don’t have the resources, tools, knowledge, or space to do the work you have done on your new old B. I’ve had my share of problems, and the cost has delayed my plans to go FT. However, other than a little leaking around the fan...

Re: 1990 B190 project for sale

This is very like mine, except my sink is next to the wall, I don’t have an oven, and I think the couch material is different.

Best of luck, I’m sure you’ll be able to sell it snd the price is reasonable for someone handy.

Re: Water heater question

First, I would most definitely install a water heater bypass on it to make winterizing easier! Our campers have a 6 gallon heater; you probably won't be able to fit a 10 gallon in there. With that decision out of the way, you're pretty much left deciding which brand and whether you want DSI. Sticki...

It’s been one thing after another trying to prep for this trip. Maybe I should heed the signs, but I really need to get away.

Re: Mexican & Metallic interior updates

Thanks for your opinion. I can’t possibly use the toilet or shower with it closed, so I’ve never opened it.

I think I’ll have him remove it and store in case of sale.

Re: Replacing Gray Tank in 1990

The black tank is now broken from a tow needed because Best Buy apparently broke the hood release wire while installing my stereo (which doesn’t even work). Due to the black water leak, my mechanic kept it longer to finish the repair in one day (he was just going to pry the hood open and charge batt...

Re: Mexican & Metallic interior updates

Looks good! BTW, Skater, I keep forgetting to ask you...do you think the accordion bathroom door adds much value? I’m thinking of removing it. I don’t use it. The friend helping me with projects ran cords between it and the wall. That pried it off about 3/4 off. It’s in relatively good condition, s...
