Re: What did you name your camper?

Since I’m from a California, I decided she was a Latina. So her full name is Beatriz Esmeralda Frida Angelica Rosalinda or BE FAR. Frida after Frida Kahlo and Rosalinda after a friend who passed away far too young a few years ago. Her “paper name” is Camper Van Beethoven, because I *just* got their...

Re: Buying it back...

Skater are you talking about the outer gasket that goes between the frame and the glass at 45°?

Re: can we mix agm and wet cells?

I hope you have a co.2 detector hydrogen gas will set it off. Originally a previous owner had put a battery under the couch in mine. After a trip I plugged in and hours later the co.2 detector was going off in the driveway the battery was really hot and boiling. I vented it and shut everything down....

Re: can we mix agm and wet cells?

It's probably not the best idea as skater said especially if your using the original parallax 6300 converter or charging off the alternator agm batteries are sealed and require a lower charge voltage. Overcharging will cause them to swell and rupture were flooded lead acid batteries can take 14.5 or...

Re: Shower Curtain and track

Hi Barry the track on the back of the shower is the same as the window curtains it runs across the back under the medicine cabinet. The side curtain is a standard shower curtain rod with rings. Looks like it was a nice rig.
Too bad.
Someone will grab it up for a project. Sorry for your loss.

Re: Are my batteries working correctly?

Skater has a airstream vin# registry it might solve the mystery. If you haven't given it to him yet its usually on the radiator support.

Re: 1998 for sale in Sacramento

I agree 20k is a bit high for 128.000 miles but the 98 with the wet bath is more desirable. Being bone stock might be a plus knowing someone hasn't monkeyed with it. Plenty of us have had issues with previous owners mistakes or their trust in nitwit repairmen. Seems the class b has gained popularity...

Re: Are my batteries working correctly?

Todd Sounds like you've figured it out. Definitely seal up the holes in the generator compartment. It could be used to your advantage but definitely mount the batteries to the floor or in a box for safety sake if you decide to replace them. I remember the stereo installers methods were sometimes que...

Re: Are my batteries working correctly?

Todd I've been thinking about your system when you say squealing it could be the fan in the inverter. The converter also has a fan but only comes on under heavy load being a 95 the fan may be seized up mine was on my 93 as most other things were. It seems like the original system is still working it...

Re: Are my batteries working correctly?

Unfortunately most of us have dealt with gremlins from previous owners. Its seems yours may have had a third battery under the couch? Mine did with it charging from the converter and a solar panel. I learned really quick after we pulled the down pretty good and I plugged in at the house my CO-2 dete...
