Re: Meet up in Colorado anyone?

My dad and I were planning to take my trailer to Colorado in August, to see the Durango and Silverton Railroad. Unfortunately, the wildfires have put the kibosh on that plan. :( So, instead, we're heading north to Detroit, Mackinac, Green Bay, etc. I am very bummed that I missed a chance to catch u...

Re: Meet up in Colorado anyone?

I am heading out on July 9th to Pagosa Springs, Co. and will be there till October 3rd. Anyone passing through we can have a coffee or stop at the brewery there. On my way out, stopping to dip in Hot Springs in Arkansas, visit some family in Oklahoma and enjoy some cuisine in Sante Fe and Taos. Then...

Re: New B190 owner here

Welcome to the B190 enthusiasts and something tells me we are going to learn a lot from this renovation. I think you are making a good decision to gut it totally and do a custom design that fits your needs. Please keep posting pictures and I do envy your workshop.

Re: How much do these really weigh?

Think I will make sure the tires are always at 80psi now! So, much to learn about this B-190. Have gone on several different trips recently and the camper did so well but, need to make sure the tires can handle the load.

If a seller was not willing to answer reasonable questions about the camper, that should be a sign to keep looking and elsewhere.

Re: Actual value for insurance

I will check with my policy and make sure the amount is truly the agreed upon amount. They certainly charged me more for that new policy so thanks for having me double check.

Re: Actual value for insurance

Progressive Insurance did not want the itemized list of improvements before writing the policy. I just have all the documentation in case I have a real claim. I did exactly what Skater was talking about and got an agreed value quote and policy. I could have gotten a higher one but, decided $15,000 w...

Re: front trailer hitch

That Stowaway 2 looks great on the rig and will make it so much easier to transport the utilities, chairs, small mat, step stool and etc. while being locked. I look forward to the extra hauling space. Can not quite tell from the angle of the picture but, it looks like I will have to have a short ext...

Re: Before I add SOLAR...

Congrats on going solar. I have just recently installed a solar panel and charge controller and have been researching solar for awhile now. Here is a basic list of what you will need. 1) obviously solar panels 2) MC4 connectors and crimp tool for connecting the solar panels to your new wiring. 3) s...

Re: Before I add SOLAR...

My suggestion would be to start with upgrading your power converter. It really is the heart of your power center. Check out Progressive Dynamics. They make a few models. I went with the 35 Amp and added a larger battery bank of 2 AGM 6v deep cycle marine batteries from Lifeline batteries #GPL-4CT U...
