Re: 1990 . Denver CO

I was under the impression that in 1990 and beyond they went to a single over-cab window. I thought only the '89s had the double windows? As far as price, I wouldn't take much less for mine...if I were to ever sell it. You're right, usually the 1990s have the larger single window. Maybe it's a 1990...

Interesting. I'm curious to see how this turns out.

Re: Remodel of my 1996

Yep, saw that. The heater is coming out, so it's really a non issue. I expect some damage to the flooring, but I'll be cutting the entire back area out of the van anyway and starting fresh. Any idea how difficult is is to pull the heater out? Everything else has been fairly easy, so I'm guessing th...

Re: Remodel of my 1996

You have a leak in or around the water heater - see the line on the cardboard? I have the same issue. It's likely either the water heater tank itself, one of the lines/connections for it, or the caulk outside.

Re: Chemical recommendations?

I don’t think you need antifreeze unless you are winterizing. Maybe someone else can chime in on the evaporating properties of antifreeze. I’d just use water. Actually, since I have the black and grey water tank, I use TST RV Grey Water Odor Control. It supposedly removes grease buildup in your gre...

How the heck would the supports be sagging then?
1997 and above moved it underneath, outside.

Re: 190 wanna B

Are the early 90s ford coachman and falcons related to the b190s at all? I've seen coachmen for sale with a rear table/bed instead of a bath. That layout out is more useful to us. They seem to come with a 351 instead of the 460 though. I want to be able to tow 2500lbs, am not sure smaller 351 work ...

It was on eBay a week or two ago too. Price might be a touch high, but there also aren't any signs of leaks or anything. Seems very clean.

Going to reply to this thread, even though it's old. My 96 has the freshwater tank under the sink inside the van, is that not the normal location for the tank?
Yes, it is.

UPdate:

If you want to use Havelock wool to insulate your van, order it waaaaaaay in advance, as it's taking forever (relative to Amazon hehe) to get to me.
They have to run out and sheer it from the sheep on order. ;)

If you're interested in this, look carefully at the ceiling - there are signs of leaks. It's a beautiful build otherwise.

Re: 190 wanna B

There are a few things here and there, like the V10 engine is known for popping spark plugs, but it's a well known problem and there are kits to fix it if it does happen. Of course the 460 is known to be very thirsty all the time, so there's good and bad. For the beds: The overhead bunk is essential...

Re: New member from middle TN

It's theoretically possible, but not easy to do. You'd have to cut new holes for the tanks and seal the old ones. I'm trying to put a shower pan down on the floor that the toilet will also sit on (in its current position), then I just need to reroute the plumbing for the shower. Someone on the FB gr...
