Re: Seal around the perimeter of the top

I also would love to find a nice replacement for this seal. I just finished all the windows...and now found a leak in the back of the van as the junction in the topper underneath this seal. If I can't find anything, I'm going to sand it and fiberglass over it and then put a vinyl stripe over it.

Re: Restoring or rebuilding interior questions

Thanks for the info. I found this awesome sealant adhesive and after testing it on some other parts, used it to glue wood to the top where furring strips weren't already installed. For the walls I used rivnuts and metal screws. Foam board and great stuff is in and I just need to decide what I want o...

Re: Removing the generator compartment

So this was easier than I had anticipated thankfully. I started by removing the generator door which took drilling out the rivets in the aluminum frame above the door, there were about 5 or 6 of them. Then once the door was off, I drilled out all of the remaining rivets in the door trim. After that,...

Re: Cracked frame in hehr sliding window

Well it looks like fixing it will probably not be possible...any ideas on the part number for the 10/30 hehr slider back top passenger side window? Anyone replaced this with a pop out style window?

Thanks!

Cracked frame in hehr sliding window

My rearward slider window up in the fiberglass top has a cracked frame. Has anyone seen this and repaired it? It leaks so I have to either replace it or figure out how to repair it.

Removing the generator compartment

Has anyone cut away the generator compartment or part of it? I'm removing the generator completely and I'd love to shrink that box down by about half. Any pics? Thanks

Re: Any Photos of 1997+ upper bed

Is the third section of the mattress, the part that fits over the extendable portion of the bed thinner than the rest of the mattress? I'm trying to figure out how to build our bed frame and it seems like the pull-out part doesn't drop down to the same level as the rest of the bed plywood. That woul...

Re: Replacing 1997+ toilet with compost toilet

If you're using landfill approved wag bags then you can typically legally dispose of sealed human waste in dumpsters. Check the bag and local regs but this is something backpackers and climbers do regularly.
