Re: Catalytic Converter Stolen

We had ours stolen off our 97. On our van, there was no O2 sensor downstream of the cat.

Re: Vitrifrigo fridge install

What is your battery setup to keep this fridge running? I think I saw on another post that you removed the generator.

Re: Running board coming loose...fixes?

I am also curious about this. Was thinking of adding some d rings to hook the dogs to right outside the side door next to the step and saw the self taping screws holding up the running boards and was thinking of using some for the rings but did not want to hit anything.

Re: vacuum line mystery, rats and air

I’m working on replacing some vacuum lines in our V10. In that location we have a vacuum line running to the egr solenoid valve that the then runs to the egr. On our van the solenoid connects back to an accumulator near the propane tank. All the connectors in our vacuum system are disintegrating so ...

Ideas for accordion door replacement

Our accordion door to the bathroom is constantly sticking and is a source of major annoyance for my wife. We have thought of just replacing it with a curtain but that seems like it might be more in the way when not in use. I have also thought of just putting a shower door there instead. Has anyone e...

Re: Toilet odor when driving

I went ahead and installed a reverse polarity switch into the "fantastic" fan. With the PWM speed controller I installed a few months ago we now have a "vantastic" fan. So now if it gets too stinky I just reverse the flow. Mostly we still keep it on exhaust flow but since we rece...

Re: Will running fridge off inverter while driving cause damage?

Our fridge thermostat broke so it is always running at max setting. That's fine for hot weather because it never gets that cold anyway. If your pilot won't stay lit maybe you can just set the thermostat to max? I think running it that way would just keep the flame on high all the time without ever c...

On the road in New Mexico and Colorado

The wife, the two pooches, and I will be on the road for the next three weeks bouncing around in Santa Fe, Durango and Taos in that order. If you see us give us a honk and a wave! If you have any tips like where to get water, dump waste, or best boondocking spots they are most welcome. See you down ...

We made bug screens for the front windows with some screen material and magnets. They work great!

I would love to see some detailed photos of the tire carrier. I want to fabricate one and I would like to see how it attaches to the door/hinges.

At least for 1998...
I just looked at the drawing again and it is dated 11/13/1995 with breakers and relays added (to the drawing) in 96.

Re: Has anyone replaced the fridge with a compressor-type? Like Vitrifrigo? Or NovaKool?

At least for 1998, the 12V power to the reefer was tied to the 12V+ terminal on the fuse panel. This is a black wire. Between the panel and the reefer, however, is a 30A circuit breaker and a relay controlled by an ignition wire. After the relay the power wires leading to the reefer are green and wh...

Re: Has anyone replaced the fridge with a compressor-type? Like Vitrifrigo? Or NovaKool?

Is the black wire connected to the engine electrical system, or to the coach system? I want to install a battery maintainer, and if that black wire was connected to the engine electrical, it would simplify matters greatly. Hey, I think pretty much all of the wiring in the coach is isolated from the...
