Re: New Owner!

Hey FranGuy, sorry I'm just seeing this, but congrats on the sale! I also own a 1999 and just replaced the speakers so I can confidently say they are 6x8's if it's not too late. I didn't catch SeaQuinn's craigslist ad so now it's down, so just for my own curiosity, do you mind sharing a few pics of ...

Re: B190 database

Wow. That is really cool to have this data and know it. I did run into someone online recently who mentioned they had a 2000, which was news to me that there were some with 2000 Airstream years associated with them. I wish I remembered who it was so I could go back to them and try and get them to gi...

Re: B190 database

Hey @skater, I feel like I've seen this somewhere on this forum, but what's the latest airstream VIN number you have in your database? Mine is 1378 and I'm just a little curious roughly how many were made after mine.

Re: Adding solar AND inverter while keeping your generator

Yeah, there's no "3 way" transfer switch that I've ever heard of, so I don't know how else you'd do what you're trying to do. The only other options might be to wire up special outlets for the inverter, but that has its own problems. Some inverters have a transfer switch installed (such a...

Adding solar AND inverter while keeping your generator

So I wanted to start this thread to help people out with adding an inverter. There are a lot of threads on adding solar but none on adding an inverter (even though lots of people say they've added an inverter) so I wanted to share my experience. So I added solar and an inverter. If you want to know ...

Re: House battery not charging from alternator

So I had this problem on my van as well. I replaced the solenoid switch and that fixed it. I have a 1999 b-190 so for me it is underneath the battery in the passenger side of the hood. I didn't have to take out the headlight and work on it that way. It was far easier to just remove the battery and t...

Re: Catalytic Converter Stolen

@usachris you've already helped me a ton with the pictures you posted. I was hoping you could help me just a little more. I'm guessing the thieves were not nice about disconnecting the o2 sensor because I can't find any hint of the wiring harness for it where it's supposed to be and they must have r...

Catalytic Converter Stolen

Hi there, everyone. I have a 1999 with the V10 engine and I recently had my catalytic converter stolen while my van was in storage. I consider myself to be a handy guy and good working on vehicles and honestly it looks like an easy replacement as there's no welding involved and doing it myself is wa...
