Re: Water Leak Passenger Seat Mid-SunVisor
Thanks for the response and ideas. Finally got a good look at the joint between van and the top. It is solid and no indication of water or water damage. It must be the front windshield. I could see 17 screws through the front of the van's roof holding down the fiberglass top. Lots of sealant and in ...

Water Leak Passenger Seat Mid-SunVisor
Having trouble finding source of leak. 1998 van, no indication of leakage from upper bunk windows. Trying to understand how fiberglass top is attached to van and possible intrusion between the fiberglass top and the van body - but have never heard of anyone having that problem. Recently caught in a ...

Re: Brake Rotors
You are right. I checked and it has been 70,000 miles since the last rotors - and I do some towing. Just wondering if that is the norm for our vans or am I too tough on it?

Brake Rotors
At 126k miles replacing brake rotors for the second time. How often are others having to replace the rotors? Have not had good luck turning worn rotors - seems to last less than 10k, might as well just replace the rotors.

Replacement Tires
You may want to consider larger tires for the rear if you ever tow anything. The standard tires on my '98 are LT245/75R16 load range E. That gives you 3042 lbs at 80 PSI. That is close to the van weight - mine on scale was 5700 lbs - not much margin especially if you tow. I switched to LT265/75R16 l...

Gen quit - aged fuel line
My gen had been doing fine but suddenly quit. After checking things out found no fuel coming to the filter. Turned out the fuel line from the tank was aged and cracked - gen was sucking air! Had to drop the van fuel tank to repair - ouch.

How do you set the pre-heat for winter or summer? I see the sticker saying to set for summer but no instructions on what to set or how? Thanks for any help.

Another Door on Sale on Ebay
By the way, I noticed the place I bought mine from has another on sale on ebay ($80). hard2findrvpart is the seller.
Maybe they can find the trim piece you need. I think you can contact them via ebay?
Also noticed a used RM2310 available.

Sorry - it is just the "bare" door
Had to take the door parts to configure the replacement. What I have is without shelves or door trim (the wood insert and branding strip).

Refrigerator Door for Cost of Shipping
Will ship used door to anyone who wants it. Fits RM2310. Needs a new door gasket and shelves. I was able to find a new door for $100 and opt'd for that instead of replacing the gasket. The door heads to the trash unless someone claims it.

Looking back at my post I hope the subj line wasn't overlooked. I have a 1998 E350 with a V10. The GCWR is 15,000#. My GVWR is 9400# and on a scale fully (and I mean fully) loaded I was at 9220# (full water tanks, fuel tanks, and supplies, max'd out). And I have no problem towing my Casita. Love my ...

1998 E350 with V10 GCWR 15,000
My van at a scale 9220# fully loaded - full water, gas tank, and traveling stuff. I tow a light 3200+ Casita trailer and keep having to remind myself it is back there!! Actually helps hold the van to the road. Watch the weight on the rear wheels - I upgraded the tires to give myself more margin - bu...

I took my '98 to Colorado skiing this winter - the tempature dipped to 4 degrees at night with a wind chill of -14. Oh yes, it was fun. In the '98 the water tank and grey tank are below the floor, the black tank above. I made it through without busting any pipes or tanks. The below floor tanks are e...

I have a 1998 with the V-10 and milage varies depending on what I am towing and if I am on the open road or not. Around town I get 10 mpg or maybe slightly less irregardless of what I haul. On the open road I usually get 12 mpg if I keep the speed around 65. But, if I am towing my Casita (about 3,00...
