Call A/S at 937-596-6111.
Keep in mind that you don't want the antenna crank to be catching anyone in the forehead... it'll be extending down almost 2 !/2 inches.

For what it's worth, bobbyv, I recently installed a crank-up satellite dish forward and to the right of the A/C on my 98. That put the interior crank in a convenient spot just inboard of the cupboard enclosed generator switch and HW heater switch. Airstream told me I would not interfere with the in-...

Installed my cabover window today, basically using the method described above by Alaskan. Removing the old window was a snap, took less than 10 minutes. Getting the new window back in the rubber channel was the hardest part of the job. I set the window in the bottom channel first, carefully worked i...

Maiden Voyage

Recently took our original trial trip in our December acquired 1998 190 from Phoenix to Austin and return. Took 6 or 7 days, cruised at speed controlled 65, averaged 13.4 mpg. Love the Triton V10 -- smooth, quiet, hardly notices the hills. Some strong and gusty cross winds took some of the pleasure ...

Thank you for the lucid and very helpful installation instructions. I'm not sure I can easily come up with suitable scaffolding but I would not hesitate to undertake the task after your description of the process.

Alaskan,
I admire your intrepid attitude. Inasmuch as I have a crack in my front window, would you care to share a few comments on the technique of replacing it by oneself. Thanks. Seawolf

Just became a "real" member with acquisition of a 1998 b van last month. Have not really tried it yet (camped out) except for driving it home about 950 miles with 9 below zero at the start. Am enjoying playing with it in the driveway!!

New member Greeting

Hi All, I'm a long time Airstreamer looking to purchase a B190. I've enjoyed the site and learned a great deal about your units without yet owning one. I intend to dispose of my 95 Excella 28' trailer. I'd be willing to discuss a possible trade for a 190 if you know anyone who might be interested. M...
