Looking forward to that report. Having run out at inopportune moments, I would like to havemore propane capacity, too.

Re: Anyone happy with pre-97 shower curtain?
Jason, Nice! But your brother in law is standing where our bike rack goes... But, yes, I currently just feed the shower hose out the back window and rinse off outside. Usually our tub/shower is full of stuff, but I have hopes that if it looks nicer I might actually use it. Tony, Thanks for the curta...

That message sent itself before I was done. "night", not "nice". sigh... Anyway, some stuff to consider. Others here will be a good resource for your electrical upgrades.

Re: House Battery turffle shuffle
Hey Jason, Welcome to Colorado! So, you are wanting to expand the coach battery bank and power some specific loads when boondocking. First, consider that bigger battery bank: if the unthinkable happens and they are all dead, recharging them will likely tax the van's alternator beyond its design load...

Re: Anyone happy with pre-97 shower curtain?
Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply. I was trying to remember how you did yours. So, did you use two standard-width shower curtains (72", right?) to create the overlap and just shorten the window one? That would be easier. I'm also starting to think that the velcro might have been meant to stick to s...

Anyone happy with pre-97 shower curtain?
I'm carrying out a modest rehab of my shower this summer, and I'm ready to replace the shower curtain. I have removed what must surely be the original--a wacky two-piece affair with a geometric shape cut out of the larger piece. Both pieces have velcro, but there is a lot less hook-velcro than wooll...

Re: Fuel pump life? 1993-1999
The original fuel pump on my '94 didn't make it to 50K miles. If you have no problems, consider yourself lucky and wait until it becomes bothersome. it. You probably already know this if you read all the posts, but the replacement fuel pump is a different, improved design compared with the original.

Re: propane smell
I had good luck with Ferrellgas in Frisco, CO. They replaced my regulator and leak-checked all of my fittings, including those on the furnace I had just installed. Charged me $35 for the entire visit including parts. The Ferrellgas website shows a lot of California locations. Maybe there is one near...

Re: Cabinet Door Latches (Southco Grabber Catch)
My van doesn't have the original latches. The P.O. replaced them all with bulldog latches. They work pretty well (a reasonable combination of willingness to stay shut and fairly easy to open...) except for the rear closets, which routinely fly open and spew out my inflatable kayak, toolbox, and load...

Re: Sofa fold down shelf/drink holder
Hi Lou, The oak on our snack tray is split, so I replaced it with a cutting board from Crate and Barrel than is more practical for us. The original cup holders on the snack tray are discolored, but intact. They are still secured in the tray, but it looks like they could be removed with some effort. ...

Re: Question on weatherstrip/seal/gasket
Hey Jim
There's a Falcon build over on ExpeditionPortal.com and lots of chatter about weatherstripping. If you haven't already, see the thread called "Boomer the Quadravan 4x4 Camper", O.P. Spencyg. Might be a resource for before you cover over your upper window forever?

Re: Question on weatherstrip/seal/gasket
Sorry, I see now that yours is similar to, but not an actual Airstream. Looks like you may have a split front window? In any case, my original reply is likely not relevant. Hi Millennium Falcon Jim, Not sure what year your van is, but for my 1994 the Airstream part number for the glass (which comes ...

Re: Question on weatherstrip/seal/gasket
Hi Millennium Falcon Jim, Not sure what year your van is, but for my 1994 the Airstream part number for the glass (which comes with the gasket) is 195329-167. This you can order from a local certified Airstream Dealer. So, the procedure is to phone the Airstream Dealer with the part number and ask f...

Heaton Bay Campground 2014, Frisco CO
Just putting in a plug for my local (<10 miles from home) campground on Dillon Reservoir in Colorado. It's been a few years since the pine beetles ravaged our lodge-poles here in Summit County, and I'm happy to report this campground is making a fine recovery. See my pics from yesterday here in my g...
