Neutral Safety Switch?

Has anyone experienced this with the 92-95 era vans? Vehicle will not start in Park, but starts if your put it in neutral. Checked the following: -Starter is new -Wires are all new and clean to battery and starter. -Battery is new and charged fully. I think its the neutral safety switch, Not sure if...

Re: screwing into the roof-anyone experienced?

I would advise against that as it gives another potential leak problem for you in the future.

Spring and Fall River Camping

The Willow Beach Campground in the Lake Mead National Recreation area located on the river(below the dam) has been recently rebuilt. Nice new sites, showers, full hookups, new marina and store. Its a great place to put the kayaks or canoes in and paddle up or down stream for a day on the river. Avoi...

Looks like it was an aftermarket add on. Helps with stability but not gross weight. kind of ugly.

Re: 5 Ton Lawn Ornament? Transmission replacement suggestion

Finally we have managed to get the Beasty out for a short run. We took Oblivion over the Dam with our kayaks and camped down at Willow beach 2 weeks ago. Transmission and Engine appear to be working fine. The shift points are much firmer now with the upgrades to the transmission and with the new ECM...

Re: Fuel Mileage for 7.5L V8 and 6.8L V10?

9.5-12mpg is about all I have managed, but I drive in Nevada, California, and Utah, which means Mountains and long upgrades. The weight and wind resistance are the big factor with the B190. Its just a big fat lumbering pig on the road, not a sports car.

Re: Starting the fridge on gas mode

Thanks-A note for users- The fridge also does not work well or nearly not at all when the outside temperature exceeds 100 degrees. In Nevada and Utah we try to keep the outside door open to encourage air flow over the venting system to help it lose heat. Some RVers out here install fans on the upper...

Re: side and rear door handle cables

Bought the same kit- works great- The side door broke first. Now my back door has the same issue so this Sunday I will be repairing that one. I suspect the temperature extremes of the Mojave reek havoc on plastic parts like this one. The replacement cable holders look to be a long term solution. Don...

Finally done- And I am Broke!

ECM failure, Pack Rat chewing wires and hoses in engine compartment (from prior owner) contributed to the failure of our Transmission. Finally rebuilt and upgraded, with heavy duty torque converter, upgraded gears, etc. and firmer shift points. Seems to be working very well, but it will be sometime ...

I am going to have it looked at. After exhaustive research there are a lot of opinions out there that the e4od is not a bad transmission but it does have some issues in high load, high toque engine applications. 1 Heat build up being the number one issue. 2 Ford programmed sloppy shift points (more ...
