Re: "One pingy dingy, ....." spark knock

I have used Seafoam with favorable results. On the fuel injected engine, I let it warm up and then removed the vacuum line to the brake booster and poured it in while idling. It produced a lot of ugly smoke but, the engine ran a little better and quieter. As been mentioned, verify the timing is corr...

Re: Squirrels in the engine compartment!

my thoughts... If these were spark plug wires that were damaged, I would replace them as opposed to repair. If the wires were part of a wire bundle, go back over the area to ensure nothing was missed. I you spiced wires as part of the repair, recheck with an ohm meter to ensure they are goo splices....

Re: Leak from the Rim! Not sure what to do.

Make sure I am following you on this one. Have you inflated the tire and sprayed soapy water on the rim and seen bubbles from around the rivet heads? If so, have a wheel refurbisher take the tire off and seal the rim from the inside. If you don't want to go to that much work and/or expense, stick a ...

Give Google a shot. I think you will find enough info to be able to pull it off successfully.

Re: New from WA

What I have learned for this site on the subject is to verify the tire proper size and weight rating, ensure tire pressure and alignment are correct. Next is to assess the condition of the shocks. If they need replacing, go with something like the Bilstein or a good gas shock within your target budg...

I have read some discussions on this subject over on the RVNET site. Do a search under the B or Truck Camper sections.

Re: No Electric in Cabin

This makes the second time you have found the left light on? Try this, turn the ignition "on", or start the engine, turn the left signal light on. It should now be blinking. While it is blinking, turn the ignition off. Is the left trun signal light stuck on? If so, this may account for the...

Re: Rear Lockers...

I would give second thoughts to running something like a "Detroit Locker" or a spool on the street. They can be sort of unsettling in the rain. On the other hand, an air locker would be my choice. That gives you the ability to truly locking the differential when you need the extra traction...

Re: Motion Sickness

Be sure the tire pressures are correct... Shocks and sway bars may help. If not, my wife has had really good luck with the wrist bands designed for motion sickness. So far, they have done the job! I can't remember the name but, she picked them up over the counter at the local drug store. Good Luck, ...
