Re: Leak -
In reference to my 2012 post about fixing the exterior rubber window moldings. I did do that with the molding from the RV store which was readily available, and it stopped the leaking problem without gobble d gooked silicone. I did replace the fiberboard underlayment under the upper bed area after r...

Re: '94 Cracked stripes!! ...ideas?
Hello my B190 Friends, After reading all the good advice and ideas about those old fading and cracked stripes on our rigs, I did some research on the Stripe off wheel, and found them not available at the time I was ready to work.. ;-) I was able to find the Smart Eraser Pad from Astro Pneumatic tool...

It's a small world isn't it Phil? ;o) I was born and raised in Dublin, Cambridge city area, then moved to Indianapolis while I was still in grade school. Wow, that seems like a long long time ago.... Like back before the earth's crust was fully hardened. Ha. Always nice to meet another Hoosier! Oh, ...
Re: Leak -
Yes, I've been noticing all of that good weather in the Mid-West. I was born and raised in Indiana, but ended up putting down roots here in Idaho. We call our area "The Banana Belt", ;o) Maybe we'll just jump on in to summer real soon. Ha.

Re: Leak -
Thanks Phil, That is a great idea. I may do that. I talked to a local RV repair place in Boise, Id. today, and he said unless I'm really good (Which I doubt) I could break the shatterproof glass if dropped, if I were to take the glass out. He suggested running a small silicone bead around the glass,...
Re: Leak -
Greetings All, Window leaks... It is spring, and time for all things RV to leak if they will. ;o) I noticed that the left bunk window on our "90" unit has been leaking, and yes, I'm replacing the bunk underlayment. In addressing the window problem, I found a couple of sites that gave me so...

Yes indeed.. we purchased our new deep cycle battery for the coach and will upgrade the system properly asap. Thanks again for the information. It's much appreciated. Spring is on it's way. I hope. ;o) Again, Happy Trails, J ** All's well that ends well, or so they say. Battery isolator is properly ...

Thanks for that Skater.. I noticed that even with the battery removed from the drivers side I have coach interior lights, and also that the positive battery cable where the battery is removed lights my test light. So, Looks like the previous owner had a parallel connection between the two regular ba...

Pre 92 Battery information request.
We are enjoying our 1990 B-190, and have a question about the batteries. Since we need to replace one. From what I've read on the Forums about batteries, it looks like most B-190's are using one regular and one deep cycle battery. When we bought ours it had both regular type batteries. Both in the e...

Propane
Thanks Alaskan, I checked the hose at both ends last time. Didn't smell anything, or see a leak, but I didn't wiggle it in the process. I'll try that. It doesn't take much of a leak to be able to smell it. I don't like any kind of fuel leaks. Guess that comes from driving a gasoline tanker some year...

Propane
Thanks Much baggydew for the info. I turned on the propane valve again this afternoon (opening all the way), and rechecked the tank, each valve, joint and connection w/solution, and all appear to be fine. I'm always pretty picky about a possible leak in the propane system. By the time they shut off ...

We had our propane filled for the first time a few days ago, and didn't have any problem with the attendant being wimpy, however she.. Yes, girls are'nt wimpy in Idaho. Ha. (I used the floormat suggestion, thanks) She did make the mistake of opening the little vent valve all the way instead of 1/4 o...

Having the truck park next to you with the engine running all night reminds me of years ago while I was delivering fuel on the Phillips volume tender contract for Arrow Transport. It seems like I was always starting to work at about 2 am, and in the wintertime, and here in the Idaho mountains it do ...

We haven't checked our mpg out yet, but will soon. On the 460 I used to have in a f250 extended cab pu, we were able to squeeze out 12 fairly regularly, and even a tad better downhill with a tail wind. ;o) I expect like you say, that with the weight of our B-Vans that figure may just be wishful thin...

I did a bit of research and talked to a Local Custom exhaust company man. He was familiar with the exhaust pipe baffles, and said his understanding was that they were intended to be spark arrestors (I think maybe also to add a quieting effect). He Mentioned that one problem with them was that when t...
