Re: Starting my search!

Lucy, Just a thought. Where ever you buy, you can find a mechanic in the yellow pages of the area the Van is. Call him and set up a meeting with the owner. Have the owner drop the Van off for a good unbiased opinion. It may coast a few bucks, but probably worth it in the long run. If the owner balks...

Re: Wanted: Good or Excellent B190

Hi, Thought I sent A reply, but not sure if I did it right. So here it goes again. I live in Cedaredge, Colorado. We have a 1975 B-190 we have been using for about 3 years. Has a little less than 80,000 miles. V8-460, that runs perfect. All the accessories work. Tires good. Think we might get a litt...

Re: Wider couch base mod possible?

This will not work for everyone. What we decided to do to make the couch/bed better to sleep on is. Take the mattress off the overhead. Cut it to fit on top of the couch. We are going to use Styrofoam blocks in the walk way to come up to the top of the couch. This way we can extend the bed out to th...

Used 3/4 to 7/8 screws. Plenty of room above the wood.

Re: headliner

Just in case someone has the same problem. We have a 95 also, and same problem with the headliner. There is wood above the liner that the liner was glued to. Anyway we bought some plastic "rose buttons" at the lumber company. They are about the size of a quarter, white, with a hole in the ...

Re: Generator fuel lines and gas smell

Also check the filler tube and vent lines. I have a 1995 and had a bad gas smell. Ford dealer said it was the gas cap. Wrong! Finally got a dealer in Florida to drop the tank. As the gas drops in volume, it sloshes back an forth more causing the air to be forced out of the tank. The vent rubber line...

Gas smell

Gas Vapors,
Had strong smell of gas. Finally solved the mystery. Had to drop the gas tank and replace the vent tube that was dry rotted. Also filler tube since the tank was down. Problem solved.

DSS Antenna?

Hi Everyone,
New to the forum. I have a 1995 B190. It has a DSS antenna mounted on the roof, with controls inside. Have no idea what this is, and wether it takes a subscription, or if it is even useable. Anyone have one like it.
thanks
Dave
