I replaced the cruise control servo on my '94 this summer. It's a pretty simple operation to swap out, I'd suggest getting the part and have at it. (still $470ish from a Ford dealer- the one listed on Rock Auto is the wrong part. nothing on mine even looked like the party they sent). I'd run down al...

Table and Ladder for sale

Cleaning out my basement- I've got the bunk ladder and table from my 94 van, and never use them, figured I'd see if anyone out there might want them. The table includes the sliding top, post, and the floor mount. Make an offer on either or both.

I got a set of Kelly Safari Trex tires about 3 or 4 years ago. They were load range E, and I keep a close eye on the pressures. Last summer, one failed by having the sidewall delaminate- it had a soft-ball sized bubble sticking out from the side of the tire. I replaced that one, since it wasn't too ...

I replaced mine- $18 and change for 12 inches of hose and two hose clamps from carquest- I really only needed 11 inches. I just used straight hose, and cut the end on the tank at a bit of an angle- works fine. Took about half an hour to change the hose out, didn't have to drop the tank. As long as y...

Interesting, I just noticed today that mine was bad too (my first clue was the big puddle of gas on the ground when I was filling up), and I was just looking around the internet for info on them. Keep me posted on what you find out.

Fridge amperage (AC)

I'm wondering if anyone knows how much current the fridge draws when running on AC? The reason I ask is I just wired an inverter into my outlets (or the other way around) and since the fridge is on that circuit, I'm wondering if I can run it off the inverter? I figure it might be a good way to run t...

Hm.... I see that now. I haven't actually done this, just remembered seeing the adapters, but now you've got me curious too. Looking at the tank on mine, it sure looks like it's got the same POL style fitting on the valve as the (older) portable tanks- so the same adapter should work. The only probl...

I've got some experience is this. (ok, really a lot of experience) I took off the luggage rack and built a steel rack that screwed into the hole the luggage rack was mounted to. I doubt the original rack would be strong enough, it's pretty light weight. Mine is set up with a cage sort of deal around...

The 94 460 computer problem

I can officially now add my van to the list of 94 vans with the 460 engine that's had computer problems. Had- past tense. I sent out the computer last week for rebuild (through http://www.directauto.com/ ) and got it back today. Just got back from a 20 mile test drive, and it didn't cut out at all- ...

I think I've got every manual, flyer, and other piece of information that came with the '94 van. (previous owner was OCD?), but I probably don't have time to scan all of it. Let me know if there's anything specific you want, and I'll try to dig it out.

When I saw the title, I just had to guess that it was a '94. There seems to be a trend here. Looks like Roger, baggydew, and spayallpets have all had computer problems that cause this sort of problem, all in '94. (see various threads in the drivetrain forum) I've got similar problems with my '94, an...

I'm in the process of doing the computer search too. These things seem to be in very, very short supply. I've tried 3 different sources, and so far no one has been able to find one. So far, the only route I've found to go is to pull it out and send it off to be rebuilt, which isn't an option, since ...
