Re: generator muffler
There are some heat shields hanging down around the propane tank. This should be near where they're fixed to the underside. Follow the muffler up to the gen compartment - on mine, there is a 5" square cut out for the muffle to hang down through. That's where one of the U-Bolts are (holding the ...

Re: Screens for double doors
I'm getting ready to make a new one - hopefully before my trip next weekend - I will post when I do.
I like the velcro idea as well. May try that.
There's actually a good amount of room on the sides around the doors - the velcro shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Screens for double doors
I went the DIY route on this. A large piece of screen, sized for a sliding door, from Home Depot. I used black "duck" tape (cheaper than duct tape - kinda "vinyl"ish) to tape the edges of the screen. I picked up some decent sized magnets at a local army/navy type store and taped ...

Re: water pump/ water heater
The depends... If you're "docked" and have a hose connected to your water inlet, then the pressure of the water coming from the hose will push the hot water from the water heater as it refills with cold water. If you're using the onboard water tank, then you will need to keep the pump on t...

Re: How to Remove Fridge Vent Panel?
Lower would be about the same. A little tougher to remove though because of all the adhesive they used in the corners (needed to take that out when I did my fridge replacement) For re-installation re-sealing, I used ProflexRV sealant for the inside seal (real easy to worth with!), and butyl tape aro...

Re: No Affiliation 1992-93 on Ebay
If it's in as good of condition as it looks, you did great! Two years ago I found a '90 that I bought for $7.5K, which seemed like a great deal based on prices at the time. Since then I've put a few thousand into it (extensive unseen water damage, exterior paint damage, intermittent appliances, etc....

And much thanks!!!! Without this site, I probably would never have found my B190 - and the restoration would have been FAR more difficult without this community. Love my dorm room on wheels...

Along the lines of what Skater said - had you been running the hot water heater before this? Thinking that could cause some pressure buildup...

Re: Grey Adhesive for refrigerator cabinetry
I had to redo my fridge compartment last year as well. A few people identified the sealant as butyl rubber - so I bought a tube of butyl rubber and used it in a few places. I can say, don't use butyl rubber! It never cured. What did work, at the suggestion of my local RV repair shop, was Proflex RV ...

Propane tank
My propane tank is getting pretty rusty - looking to replace it soon. If any "retired" B190s have a tank in decent shape, I'd be interested!

I just completed the reconditioning of my top. I used the Interlux Brightside paint as well. I'm pretty happy with the results!

Re: 1990 B190 Restoration/Renovation
The rear brake light was the primary source, but pretty much everything that has an opening to the outside (reflectors, vents, etc...) had some degree of leakage - apparently for quite a while by the extent of the damage. A good part of the work was performed during the Florida rainy season - it was...
