Re: Eng stalling
Taking a 25 yr old Econoline to a Ford shop can be a crap shoot. I had a problem in our 91 on a trip and a Ford dealer was nearby. Lucky for me they assigned an old time tech and he knew right away what the problem was, as he had experience with the older models. Another dealer(routine maintenance) ...

Re: Eng stalling
does this happen on both tanks? I had to replace a fuel pump in one tank, probably from running it too dry. Tough on the road to find a good shop. carb, ignition, or compression is what you need. Could be a bad coil, but hopefully a good shop can find the problem. Stop at a NAPA auto parts store and...

Re: What draws off of 12 votl
If your house battery checks out okay, start pulling the 12 v fuses to see which one is drawing current. If you have a multimeter with an ammeter you can hook it up to the battery first to see if there is current draw with everything supposedly off. If there is current draw, pull a fuse at a time un...

Re: Rear air bags
I have those installed on our 93 made by Air Lift. You don't need much pressure in them. I set mine at 30psi and the ride is good. With no air you will bottom out, as the rubber bump stops have to be removed to install the Air Lift. I think their latest version has a bump stop built in, but mine are...

Re: Wipers won't shut off
There is a great youtube video on refurbishing the stalk swtich. Worked great to fix my 93. Try "econline wiper" or something along those lines.

Re: Generator won't stay on
There is a electric fuel pump that feeds the generator. You can pull the hose off the carb and see if it is pumping fuel when you try to start it, and if it keeps pumping after it starts. The fuse holder for the pump was faulty on my previous 91 B190. Replacements are available still at electrical s...

Screen removal
The screen on the window above the sofa needs repair. Not sure how to remove it. Googled it in and either have to remove the plastic tracks it slides in from the metal channels, or slide screen to the middle of the window and press up on upper frame so lower frame can come out. Anyone done the remov...

Re: A sad goodbye
It was us that had two(actually 3) blowouts on the rear. The first was in our 91 going about 55 on a highway. Left rear. Just went bang and tore off part of the fiberglass running board molding around the wheel opening. The 2nd was as we were driving our 93 home from the dealer on I75 in Ohio. Doing...

Re: A sad goodbye
Thanks for posting your experience, and I am thankful you both were not more seriously injured. This is a scary story. I have experienced 3 tire blowouts on 2 B190s. Both occurred after recent purchase on tires that looked decent, but were too old. Fortunately all were the rear tires. I assume yours...
