Gainesville? Not a University of Florida fan, are you? (I went to UGA for grad school. :) ) The tranny lines thing is an interesting story. Mine were replaced/bypassed when I got the new transmission in two years ago, because the new transmission included a new cooler and new lines to run to it. But...

I'm not disputing what you say about the dealer, but it's funny for me because my experience has mostly been the opposite of just about everyone else: the dealers are the ones I can trust around here, and the third-party shops are the ones trying to screw me over. :) Like the shop that claimed I nee...

After reading your most recent message you now have me wondering if there's a problem in the steering - something worn out that's letting it pull to the sides. I hope it's the shocks (I don't want to have given you bad advice), but if it's not I'd check the steering next... On the other hand I think...

From what you describe, it's a good bet the shocks have had it. sudec11 (another user) was telling me she got Bilstein shocks online for it for something like $80/each, which sounds good to me. Of course, that's without installation, but it's not a particularly complicated job, and I doubt it's that...

Welcome to the site! I don't know of any specific speed where it's unsafe but like you 70 mph is my max (about 62 mph when towing) - and I do that only rarely. When I first got it I ran it up to above 70 mph just so I'd understand how it would run at that speed, but it's not something I usually do. ...

I've been thinking about this. My guess is that most people are doing what I did - putting them on the windows. Dark gray or black isn't going to show up very well on a dark window, I think...

Hacking of forums...

Hey, folks, be advised there is a new hack out there that has targeted sites running software similar to ours that will install malware on your computers. It links you to a video site that looks like YouTube (but isn't) then tells you that you need to download a codec, which actually installs the ma...

Re: Great bike rack

A couple of months ago I was asking what type of bike rack would be best for our B190. When we took our trip down to Florida, we used the ladder bike rack that Camping World sells. It worked out great for our 2 bikes, and was very easy to load. Also, it just may be the most inexpensive option out t...

You could easily wait until the first campground you go to and do it there. I do mine at home, though, following these steps (I'll write up a more detailed article): 1. Put several gallons of water in the tank. 2. Pump it through the system until it's clear. 3. Repeat as necessary. 4. Empty the hold...

All done! It's in and working perfectly. I installed a new Optima Blue Top battery, too. I'll do a writeup and pictures later - I'm totally out of energy at this point! :)

A few. But honestly it's pretty straightforward, and just like the others I've seen on the web. The only quirk for us is that it's not very comfortable to work on it between the couch and the cabinets. :)

I'm about halfway done with the new installation. :) I have the wiring in for the plug (the old one was hard-wired, but this one has a standard 15-amp 120 volt plug on the end, and the kit included an outlet that I wired to the breaker), and the new fuse panel is in place and just needs the wires fr...

New converter came last night. I didn't realize that it came with the charge wizard (which lets you see the current charging state and override it). The converter is smaller than I expected, too. Also, I ordered a new fuse panel to replace the one I have. Filtered power for all circuits! I'll post s...
