In mine, I have to pull up really far... but mine don't break when I do that.

Perhaps the cable has stretched over the years - see if you can find where the cable goes in the base of the seat and adjust it.

But how silly is it that the seat controls are on the house battery and not the engine battery? I'm very surprised by that. Yeah, I was pretty surprised, too. The fog lights in mine were also on the house battery. My guess for the seats is that you might want to move them while camping so you can r...

They both should work with the engine running. Sounds like the same issue someone else had - the selenoid isn't working.

Here is a rough wiring diagram I've been working on for this article . http://b190.com/modules/B190_Switches/camper_wiring_overview.png But the alternator definitely should be charging the coach battery - your selenoid is probably bad. They aren't very expensive, I think, and it should be pretty eas...

First, I would most definitely install a water heater bypass on it to make winterizing easier! Our campers have a 6 gallon heater; you probably won't be able to fit a 10 gallon in there. With that decision out of the way, you're pretty much left deciding which brand and whether you want DSI. Stickin...

Awning repaired!

Well, I've managed to re-hang the awning. Alone. Wasn't very easy but with careful planning I was able to do it on the first try without hurting myself.

Pictures here, same place as before, but now include pictures of the repaired setup.

Wow, good advice and good videos. I would've let off the gas. Summary of the Critical Factor: Floor it and steer to correct as necessary, then reduce speed once the rig is back under your control. And that's true for all vehicles. The other video explains the weight rating of tires and the importanc...

Thanks Eagle...... I went to get propane today...and something is wrong with my conneciton valve (according to the attendant) ... he said it won't screw on properly and I need to have it replaced...so until then, I'll have to wait on trying the fridge with propane... however... thanks for the other...

To start the fridge on gas, here's what I do (if you have the same model fridge): 1. Open the gas valve all the way (don't try to use it halfway - all or nothing). 2. Light the stove to ensure gas is flowing through the lines. Turn off stove. 3. Turn the fridge to GAS, might as well turn the thermos...

No, I was stuck with the same make and model of generator. If you're not looking to run it while on the road you can go a lot cheaper and get something like those Honda generators - they're QUITE amazing and very quiet to boot. However I wanted something I could use on the road, and the only thing t...

Yeah, the 12 volt mode of the fridge is good for only keeping food cold - if even that. It's pretty weak. If your breaker trips when you turn on the fridge, you've got a problem somewhere. I'd open the back of the fridge and look at the wiring coming in to start - see if you can see anything surpris...

Re: Bike and Motor Scooter Rack

Does anyone have the cargo rack? I've looked at a few, but am curious as to how this would make the vechile ride/drive..... ..and is there a brand or type that would be best for us? I've looked at a few (by "bike" I assume you mean bicycle - if you're talking motorcycle, then I have NO id...

The top bunk should be queen size - when you slide out the bunk, the extra piece of foam up there should drop into position to make one bed. I've only slept up there once, though, and I use sleeping bags as "sheets". The bump in the middle of the sofa bed is kind of annoying. I like Eagle'...

Re: Awning

Wow...I would have never IMAGINED that it would cost so much, but eventually I will have to get one. Yeah. To me it's just not a camper without an awning. :) The good news about buying a new one is that you'll get a warranty, and it looks better and probably works better than, say, mine does. Also ...
