How to repair a Broken Recline Cable In Passsenger Seat?

BROKEN SEAT RECLINE CABLE? Last night, while trying to un-recline the seat In order to rotate it, the passenger side cable may have snapped? I opened the arm-rest... the cable is still attached correctly on this end. Tried a gentle pull with pliers to no affect. I have tried looking UNDER the seat, ...

Re: Before I add SOLAR...

Thanks for the update on the wire. So the consensus is that we can use the original wires? I’m planning 200-300 on the roof, I already bought the lithium battery, the charge controller and the pure sine inverter. Theoretically, that’s all I need, right? And to use the pre-wired solar wires? Yes. I ...

Re: Drivability Issues

Some people have installed Hellwig anti-sway bars which I hear helps. I have the stock suspension and sways installed on my 1994. I'm in the middle of Utah currently... but in the last two months have been over 8,000 miles through extreme crosswinds over the open desert, swervy mountain roads with g...

I'll look for you on the road!

Out of curiosity... um... I have two people full-timing in my B190 and it can be tight at times. How the heck do you manage EIGHT people in such a small rig, even if only for weekend jaunts?!

Re: Norcold N300.3 refrigerator

@Millennial Falcon I might go with the compressor fridge at some point, but I have one AGM 100 ah battery without solar set up and I don't think it would be sufficient resources. What is the amp draw on 12v for maintaining let's say 35F if outside is 70F? Your amperage would be ridiculously small w...

Re: Norcold N300.3 refrigerator

It seems the last time this thread wads active was 7 years ago. I initially couldn't find this with search and posted here . I have a 1990 B190 and am wondering if I can fit a Norcold N300.3R as a replacement with my Dometic RM2301. Reading above, it looks like it is doable. Searching online, the o...

Re: Center (High) Brake Light

My plan is to go from top brake light to the driver side back reverse light to get the signal for reverse rear. Then connect it all the way to the driver. I am not super handy like you, so I might not be able to do what you did. After I connect the wires to the back driver side reverse light, do yo...

Re: Secrets of the 92-96 Auxiliary Battery Set-Up

Hello all, new here with a recent purchase of a 1998 b-van. Where is the stock auxiliary battery located. I can’t seem to find it but it is working! It’s too hot right now in Texas to keep poking around. I believe it is in the same spot on all the years? If so, when you open the hood there should b...

Re: 1994 Generator Fuel Line?

Hooked it up to a hand-bulb today. It will indeed work to pump/siphon from the tank! Though, the siphon action is VERY slow since our tanks are so low slung. I considered buying the $59 electric fuel pump at Autozone... but... I don’t plan to use it very often, and for now... hand pumping will work. 😉

1994 Generator Fuel Line?

My generator was removed long before I bought the van... and the fuel line appears to be capped as shown in the image below. If I wanted to be able to fill my portable generator from the van's fuel tank (so I do not have to carry additional gas cans) could I tap onto this line safely? Maybe just put...

Front Mount Trailer Hitch?

Who here has a front mounting hitch receiver? I'm thinking about having a 2" receiver installed to move the Hitch Hauler to the front... so I can open the back doors. Maybe someday, even be able to keep the hitch hauler installed on the rear and put a bike rack on the front. Who has one install...

Re: Center (High) Brake Light

I don't know if this helps at all, but I can tell you how to access the rear of the receptacle. If you have the early-bathroom van like my 1994... there are a few screws holding the mirror/medicine cabinet on the wall. If you remove the cabinet, you can cut the fabric/carpet behind it to access the ...

Re: Photos of my Re-upholstered front seats & couch

That looks great! We've been back and forth between reupholstering our ripped up seats or replacing them outright using something like shop4seats or some place similar. I think the original seats just... look better than the Shop4Seats. I don't like the "overstuffed armchair" look of the ...

Looks so great! Did you have to remove the seats for the upholstering?

Yes, the seats and couch were fully removed.
