Panicking about mold

So I've had my RV stored in a storage lot with other RV for the winter. Something or someone messed with my fridge access panel and it was wide open when I arrived. Water I guess leaked in from a storm. I had a few rubber backed carpets on top of the carpeting and discovered black mold today underne...

Re: ATF spew, and what to do?

Yes.... i realllllllllly lucked out. It happened right as we approached the gate after the sun went down. I only drove about 50 meters before I pulled off the road, and we were towed into a side lot. My other bit of luck, came from another B190 owner who was working as a ranger, and gave me some adv...

Re: Smoothing sailing until San Francisco... Need advice!

Just wanted to post an update. I found the Potrero Hill neighborhood is VERY easy to park in, IF you arrive before 7am, or after 6pm. There are a lot of rundown campers parked in the area, and you have to note which streets allow 24 hour parking, and note the street sweeping schedule. There is a pol...

Smoothing sailing until San Francisco... Need advice!

I have a 1995. Been full timing for 2 months. Logged 6,000 miles though the Midwest to Oregon down the 101 to CA, into Reno/Lake Tahoe, Burning Man and then to the Bay Area, where I'm currently hanging out in the very affordable Skyline park in Napa. Until now only a few hiccups (transmission overhe...

Re: best way to get out of overhead bed

I found a way that is more comfortable (for me) to get down, as the wood side panel on the drawer digs into my thighs. I scooch to the very edge of the bed laying parallel (on my stomach) and drop my leg over while I use the cabinet to brace myself, and step on the couch. Don't use the ladder for ge...

Re: ATF spew, and what to do?

Just happened to me after a long day of stop and go driving in the desert on the way to burning man. Vehicle was heavy and the elevation was climbing. I thought I was finished! Lost about 6 quarts! Now I know how to treat here better!

DAMMIT... I found a leak... and now have some moldy carpet.

Hello friends, So I have been packing up my 1994 rig today, and pulled up some mats that I had in the front cab, and found them damp, and that is when I discovered BLACK MOLD PATCHES on the carpet under the mats, and some faint (dry) water stains in the areas that are not under the car mats. Here in...

Re: Floor Mats

Ikea sells a navy and black striped floor mat for 99¢. I bought 3 and cut them to fit the drivers and passenger side and the third fits perfectly in between the seats. Not fancy but for $3 you can't beat it.

Cab lights

Having a little trouble with my cab lights and overhead bed lights. The cab (dome) lights only work when the doors to my van are open. Makes it a little challenging to find things while I'm driving in the middle of the night or want to pull over and check a map. Also noticed that the lights in the o...

Newbie in Chicago... but not for long.

Hello I'm Vanessa, and a brand new member here on the forum. I purchases my 190 on April 9th, and am already loading her up for my 2014 Badventure. And I'm still trying to decide on name. I have it narrowed down to either "Uncle Rico" or "Lafonda Dynamite" after my favorite movie...

Re: Replacing the water tank

On my 1995 it's under the drawers, hidden in the cabinetry.
