faux finish replaces deteriorated wallpaper of bathroom

With the aid of the heat gun removal of that blister and peeling wallpaper from the tub walls was acomblished. The contact adhesive came off but left the stain behind; such a pity because the wood underneath the wallpaper had a nice grain to it that a couple coats of polyurethane would be all it nee...

Re: Water Heater Door Replacement

The color code on our 95 B190 is YN. The color name is silver metalic. I looked up the color for the 1994 B190 and the color name and code appear to be the same. Here is a link if you want to look up the color code and name for your airstream. http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint/Ford/1994-For...

Re: Water Heater Door Replacement

our door to the water heater was looking so very sad that I took a soap, water and a wire brush to the peeling surface and then painted it with aluminum colored paint. It is happier looking now and just passable for its age. hot water port door.jpg I should have used sand paper to prepare the surfac...

Re: Making fluorescent lights LEDs

It a is much like a grade school science project; off of Amazon or eBay one may obtain a 5 meters of LED lights on sticky tape, strip the guts out of ones existing fluorescent lights and replace them. We found the results very satisfying. What was your total cost/time invested to build? Gee, that i...

Re: Oven pilot works but no heat

I had the same problem with the Wedgewood oven in my 88 van. I did quite a bit of searching on the internet and most post were saying that the problem was the thermostat. The posts were saying that this is a know defect/problem with the older Wedgewood ovens. They suggested workarounds to fix the pr...

Being at the mercy of any mechanic who tells you the juju fell out of your beanstalk is a shaky feeling. If I tell you to check double check and triple check you'll still miss something. So...

Re: WTB 1997 or Newer b190, Good condition or better

If you are willing to look at a 1996 B190 here is one that just came up on craigslist in CA https://monterey.craigslist.org/rvs/d/1996-airstream/6432075034.html This one has the 7.5L (460) v8 instead if the 6.8L v10's used in the 97 and newer models. Looks to be in good shape and fairly low miles 61...
