Re: Photos of my Re-upholstered front seats & couch

Looks awesome! The passenger seat rotates? I have a 96' and have been wanting a rotating passenger seat...where did you find yours? My seats are stock... I think yours should rotate, too. The passenger seat should rotate 180° and the driver’s will rotate 90°. If you have the stock FlexSteel seats o...

Photos of my Re-upholstered front seats & couch

My driver's seat was tearing... and I decided to just get it re-upholstered instead of trying to find a seat cover that fit. None of the seat covers I found looked great from the front and rear... I also really liked the SHAPE of the original seats, even if the white and flowery color scheme was wei...

Re: New Onan 2800i Inverter Model Coming Soon!!!

I wonder how much of a pain it is to change one out... I would only do that if you had a failed original Onan anyway... I'm sure a new gennie would be way more than any repair job probably. However people have done generator replacements [for instance, AdamU installed a newer version of the Onan an...

New Onan 2800i Inverter Model Coming Soon!!!

Looks like they're making a new version of the Onan 2800, it will be an inverter model and quiet(er) at only 63db! Posting here, as the below flier was leaked to someone on the ClassBforums , and more details/pricing are expected this summer... figured I'd spread the scuttlebutt a little, incase any...

Re: Leaking Fixtures in a 1994 B190, Parts recommendations?

Well, the Shower Hose connection still leaks. It looks almost like it was designed to leak? Is this normal? I've purchased the new (and longer) shower hose and installed it today. With plumber's grease on the O-ring and silicon tape on the threads. The leak appears to come from the small white plast...

Re: Where do Mice typically nest on a B190?

FYI, for anyone with a similar situation to mine: I found where they were nesting. Under the over-head bunk. Between the wooden panels under the mattress and the metal roof of the original van. I pulled the boards, cleaned and scrubbed it all out... but the metal frame rails along the sides of the t...

Re: Leaking Fixtures in a 1994 B190, Parts recommendations?

Good News!!! I got a bunch of O-rings at the corner hardware store, and a tube of plumber's grease... disassembled and fully lubed the faucet handle guts and replaced all the O-rings. All fixed! No more leaks! Easy!!! There is still a dribble leak where the hose attaches to the faucet controls... bu...

Leaking Fixtures in a 1994 B190, Parts recommendations?

OK!! I decided after two years of owning the van to FINALLY attempt to use the plumbing. It appears to have NEVER been used... the tank smells/looks immaculately clean inside. I filled it to check for leaks, and noticed the following problems (most likely do to dried out 25 year old seals): • The Ki...

Re: B190 roof swap

If a mod could please help with the photo formatting? Almost all of these photos are showing upside down.

RyanC, Great job! And thank you for the photos! Someone will have to do this in the future, and knowing how easy the swap is and having a photo guide will be VERY helpful!

Re: Airstream B190 brochures and manuals

Skater, I was searching for things online and found a few better copies, colorized versions, and missing pages from the Brochures you have saved as a .pdf at: http://b190.com/manuals/B190_History_and_Flyers.pdf I also rotated it so all files read in the correct "up" orientation... and spec...

Re: Under Couch Drawer Conversion

I didn't put any blocking in... but I lined my two standard sized batteries in the space between the generator space and the front face of the couch. That effectively blocked off the circuit breaker panel from getting knocked by stuff. I do keep some light-weight "odds & ends" ontop of...

Re: Under Couch Drawer Conversion

I believe I am the original post -- one of my first modifications, have never regretted it! My only change from the original, was that I ended up converting to 2 catches-- the catch was not quite strong enough to prevent the occasional shift of stuff in the cabinet (mostly folding chairs for outsid...

Re: Has anyone replaced the fridge with a compressor-type? Like Vitrifrigo? Or NovaKool?

Is there an advantage to the 120 volt mode over the 12 volt mode? I'd be tempted to get the 12 volt only model...when I'm plugged in or running the generator, the power for it would come from the converter. Or the engine would be charging the 12 volt system. I don't know exactly? I guess a 12-volt ...

Re: Move Spare Tire

Yes I thought about that Mike. I have a cargo carrier but the tire will block access to the back door. There's always those overlander style flip out hitches for jeeps and stuff... kind of pricey, but will flip out of the way of your doors... something like: https://wilcooffroad.com/shop/hitchgate-...
