Re: Has anyone replaced the fridge with a compressor-type? Like Vitrifrigo? Or NovaKool?

So are those the factory 12v wires hooked up to your new Nova Kool? Do you get power to it only when the engine is running (which is how I thought that wiring worked)? Yes, I used the factory wires. They're set up reversed in the above photo... I've since corrected the polarity issue and put a good...

Re: Basic (?) 12v wiring question

Photos of your actual wiring/layout would help... And someone may correct me, but your 12-volt system is probably wired so that the negative side of the circuit is the vehicle frame/chassis itself. So, you'd attach the negative side of the connection to any good solid metal connection in that case. ...

How to put a Double-DIN radio into the 1992-1996 vans

I just found this product, it will be my next upgrade option when the budget can afford a new double-din radio! Figured I'd post it here in case any of you are also looking for an easy way to upgrade your older B190s: Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzhhHo_1d1A Purchase link ($39.99 pricetag)...

Re: Refrigerator 12v ignition sense wiring

So, if I want the fridge to ALWAYS have 12-volt power... what do I do? I've found this elusive relay with two inline chunks (circuit breakers?) behind the fuse panel under the couch in my 1994 B190. Is it best to just cut the relay out of the circuit entirely? Maybe just cut the green and black wire...

Re: 1994 B190 for parts $1900

I called and asked.... it is near Memphis, TN.

The following items are missing: Generator, Aircon, Stove/Oven, Front-seat FlexSteel parts.

Has a good engine with only 50K miles on it. The 3-way dometic fridge is in it and functions.

Re: Refrigerator swap 12v

Hey Patrick, I copied your detailed instructions today and put a NovaKool R4500 in! Thank you for your video!! I've been considering this for quite some time, even collecting various amp-ratings and footprints of units over at this thread. Seeing your video and how easily the NovaKool's fit into the...

Re: Has anyone replaced the fridge with a compressor-type? Like Vitrifrigo?

UPDATE: Today, I purchased a NovaKool R4500 ($1347 after all fees/taxes). It took only about half the morning to install it, following the directions from Patricks Video: https://youtu.be/RfSRsoxON_w It was a super easy install, and fit nearly perfectly. I tried to get the rubber-grometing to fit, ...

Re: Has anyone replaced the fridge with a compressor-type? Like Vitrifrigo?

For anyone following this, it appears that the NovaKool R3800 (operates as 2.2ah) or the NovaKool R4500 (operates at 4.4ah) will fit in the hole from the Dometic 2310 or Dometic 2351. You can see a really great in depth video of how to simply and easily swap a NovaKool R3800 going into the slot on a...

Re: Weird engine hiccup still persists

For anyone interested, I found https://www.autocomputerexchange.com/ Sent them my computer on Thursday. They rebuilt it on Friday and shipped it back. I had it back in hand on Monday. Total rebuild cost was $149. It has completely solved my shudder/hiccup/surge issue. If you are having poor mileage ...

Re: Does the 1994 B190 have an OBD-II port?

Well, I'll see when I get back to the vehicle then! I ordered off Amazon a USB-powered cradle for the T-mobile version of the Drive. Can't really beat unlimited internet for $10 a month... that'll keep my Alexa going and also give me the ability to put a wifi security camera in the rig that I can ch...

Does the 1994 B190 have an OBD-II port?

I'm looking to install something like the SyncUP Drive for on-the-road internet access.

I'm not surrently in the same state as my B190 or I'd check myself... but does anyone know if the 1994 Airstream B190 has an OBD-II port and if so where it's located?

Thank you!

Where do Mice typically nest on a B190?

So where have you found a rodent nest on your B190? I ask because... since the summer came and I've been in the heat I've been using fans a lot more. When my roof vent Maxxair is left on with the windows closed (or with not a BIG enough window open), it is pulling air from SOMEWHERE that smells of a...
