Re: Adding an external enclosure to the awning

I looked into this a few years ago as well. Was hoping there was a kit for the existing awning-- no go. Options were to purchase new, similar to what you are looking at. In the end though I found a screen kit meant for an "instant up" canopy, and have made it work with my existing awning. ...

Re: House Battery turffle shuffle

I believe the 94 is the same a my 93. The house battery is a ford specific battery, only ever found one at a dealer. The part number is BH 50 -- Fleet Tough/Commmercial

Re: Stabilizer Bars

Just picked up my 93 from my local mechanic who installed my rear sway bar-- $134 install and replace power steering belt.-- marked difference. I put in all new bilstein shocks last year-- which also make a big improvement. Can finally say I can live with it now, might still look into a bit more fro...

Re: Battery Isolator?

Looks to me more like an security device I had on an similar vintage car. Of course this assumed that the thief did not have access to pop the hood and circumvent the cut off-- likely successful for many thieves of a certain IQ, but not all!

Re: Relocating toilet to shower adding shower box in a 94

Very far from what you are looking to do, but I have a 93 with the shower, tub combo, toilet in the middle as well. While I have used the shower/tub inside, I found as well that I wanted to have an outside shower. My hose reaches thru the rear doors. All I did was to mount a bracket to hold the show...

Re: Gasoline Fumes When Refueling?

Had similar on my 93. My mechanic was able to determine an overflow tub at the top of the tank has disintegrated. He was able to replace it without dropping the tank-- used and angle mirror to see the initial problem.

Re: Replacing the water tank

93's and earlier have the tank under the kitchen counter. 94's and later, it outside essentially under the kitchen floor.

Re: New in NMR

I hear that. When I bought my 93 in 2010, the previous owners (2 women) had never used the stove or heater. Generator had less than 5 hours on it (and consequently needs a new carb). They had only used the shower 2 times, and had a practice of using a bowl in the kitchen sink to limit any water into...

Re: What size bedding to use

I have used a king sized fitted sheet, queen sized flat and queen sized comforter. It is somewhat of an ordeal to make the bed, but once made, even with the 2 piece mattress, the fitted sheet stays put. Sleeping bags are great, but I much prefer nice sheets and blankets-- part of the reason I have g...

The outlets are 110v only. Should work when on shore power, or when running the generator.

Very Cool Rig! Would love to hear more about the window shields--seems like they would be very helpful for ventilation when it is raining.

I also have a storage box, but also had a hitch installed on the front of the van-- no clearance issues whatsoever-- I use the back hitch for a bike rack
