Re: Transmission Temp & Vacuum gauge install

Way to go Ed! I'm glad that the installation went smoothly for you. I really hope that eliminates the overheating issue that you've been fighting in the mountains! Do let us know how it works for you and again... way to go!

Re: Cell phone booster and external WiFi antenna

GJCamper,
Just in case you don't already know, there are several informative reviews of the WeBoost and directional antennas on youtube.com. I haven't used the WeBoost, but all of the reviews that I've read/watched seems positive.

Re: Replacement cabin roof vent

So after using the Maxxair roof vent for 5+ years... would I buy it again? Definitely, I still haven't seen a shrouded roof vent fan that I I would prefer over this one. Hits... - The way the vent cover is designed you can operate the fan even in the rain, - Low profile when closed, - Can leave it c...

Re: Replacement cabin roof vent

I thought that I would pass along a repair that I made to our MaxxAir Roof Vent. We found that the knob to lift and lower the roof vent was becoming increasingly difficult to turn and would occasionally seize. Looking at the parts manual I decided to replace the fan's gear box. The replacement gear ...

Re: Door Panel Restoration

I did the same when I upgraded the speakers in our doors. Amazing how doing something simple like refinishing the door panels takes years of age off the looks of the camper.

Nice work!

Re: Cell phone booster and external WiFi antenna

Ed,
Adding hardware to boost WiFi and cell phone reception are both on my list of things to do for our B190 this year.

Now that you have lived with your cell and wifi antenna updates for a little while, what are your thoughts? Anything that you would do different?

Chris,
Thanks for sharing your sofa/bed project. Let me make sure that I understand... The pictures are of the original rollover bed? What is the gaucho style bed like?

Re: 120 volt outlets on couch side of the B190

This is a fairly straightforward job. I used standard 12/2 w/ground household wire, outlets and trim plates from our local Home Depot. I wired the new outlets to the same breaker that the two Airstream factory outlets are connected to. One tip, I used this outlet box from Home Depot. These have a sh...

And just to make everything match, I changed out the factory outlet by the side entrance using the same hardware.

120 volt outlets on couch side of the B190

Just like in a house, you can never have enough power outlets! I have been concerned about using 120 volt items on the couch side of the vehicle when all of the outlets are on the kitchen counter side of the camper. I just don’t like the clutter and trip risk of power cords in the aisle way. So toda...
