Front end face lift... headlights & grill

I thought I would share the latest of our projects to refurbish our '93 B190. Do you notice how much faded headlight lenses age a vehicle? Our headlight assemblies showed that hazy condition and our grill was missing the chrome trim piece at the top. Again the internet was our friend... We found rep...

Re: Looking for a new toilet

Hi Doug, I recently replaced the toilet in our '93 since the plastic was getting brittle and cracking. We installed the Thetford Aqua Magic V low profile. I chose that model to make sure that the closet doors would clear the toilet when we opened the closet doors. A bonus for us is that it just seem...

Re: Propane system mystery

Hi Keystone, I can't produce that tutorial for you without removing my furnace and disassembling it. If I have to get in there again, I'll be glad to do so at that time. But, for now let me give you a rough step by step from memory. 1. Turn off your propane tank. 2. Turn off the breaker to kill powe...

Re: Fresh water Drain line cap

Rebekah, It sounds like you may be new to the B190? In my 1993 B190 there are three valves used for draining the water system. I wonder if your valve(s) are open from someone draining the water system? One valve is behind the narrow side door towards the bottom of the cabinet. The other two valves a...

Re: Newbie in Arizona

Hi Planck, Welcome to the forum. The best source of user tire reviews that I have found online are on "tirerack.com". I used those reviews to zero in on the tires that I just mounted on my '93. I was looking for a Made in USA tire with an aggressive tread pattern with excellent wet braking...

Re: Norcold N300.3 refrigerator

My 1993 B190 factory Dometec fridge did have propane, 120v and 12v. So this Norcold is a drop in replacement. I bought the B190 used and the Dometec fridge was dead. So I can not compare perforance for you. Be aware that, at least on my 1993 B, the 12volt is setup to work while you are driving and t...

Craigmar, Great suggestion on the Bettle. That has really turned out to be a flexible long lived platform. I'll add it to the consideration list.

Skater,
Thank you for sharing your experience.

I believe the Tracker weighs in at about 2300lbs. Thus one of the reasons for chosing it. I'll start reading up on braking systems.

What should I know about towing behind the B190

Hello all, I would like to get a vehicle to pull behind our B190. My 190 is a 1993 with the 460 engine. I am looking for a light weight, robust, 4 wheel drive vehicle suitable for gravel forest service roads and some light off road use. So far the main vehicle on my search list is a '95 -'97 4x4 Geo...

Re: Norcold N300.3 refrigerator

Here is a photo of the Norcold from outside the camper.
Not much to it! Pull out the old one and slide the new one in its place. I did note the that Norcold seems slightly deeper than the factory Dometic. There is no room to spare. But it fit fine in my 1993.

Re: Norcold N300.3 refrigerator

Here is a photo of the interior and controls. Controls: Far right hand dial has positions for Off, Propane, 120 volt, 12 volt. Next is the temperature dial. Setting it in its middle position resulted in the correct refrigerator and freezer temperatures for us. Next is a push button to hold the gas o...

Norcold N300.3 refrigerator

The only appliance in our ‘93 B190 that we have not been able to refurbish was the factory Dometic 2310 refrigerator. For its replacement, we decided on the Norcold N300.3. The “.3” unit runs on propane, 120v and 12v. We installed it a couple of weeks ago and got it out for its maiden outing this we...
