Re: AC leak
I was just up on my roof, watching lap sealant self level... it's quite exciting! ;-) With everything freshly resealed, I'm SERIOUSLY contemplating replacing my AC seal as well, simply because it's old and I've replaced pretty much everything else on this beast. Has anyone here done the removal and ...

Re: Help!! Turn signals and O/D button quit working
With the re-replaced aux battery relay, the OD and turn signals are working again? The only current problem being that the genset won't start. If that's the case, confirm voltage at the gennie starter and make sure the ground wire is secure - on my '90 model, there's a wire running direct from the c...

1990 B190 Restoration/Renovation
I picked up my '90 B190 in Januray 2014 - all appeared well! Soon after, I found that the center rear brake light had been leaking and caused a tremendous amount of damage inside. As I prepared to fix one problem, I'd discover three more. And it snowballed from there…!!! I took as many pictures as p...

I have a 1990 and have yet to find an hour meter in the van or on the generator.

Re: Water Heater replacement
Check out Alaskan's thread on replacing the tank on the heater. http://b190.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=133 Getting it out is fairly simple. Disconnect water lines, disconnect propane line, take out the screws around the frame, then use a putty knife to get out the caulking between the frame and bod...

Re: Driver's side storage door gasket
Is this the "generator compartment" on the driver side of the vehicle? That door frame extends about 1.5" back into the compartment, where it's riveted to the body. The exposed frame on the outside should have some kind of caulking/sealant behind it - between the frame and the body of...

Re: Shopping! But Joining Ranks Soon ;)
Welcome!!! I could have written that post about a year ago myself. It was about that time that I first saw the B190, and picked mine up about 2 months later! All I can say is, WELL worth it. So much fun in my beast. I will say this though - the price range they're in is attractive, but be ready to d...

Re: Original fridge, toilet, bathroom parts, up for grabs!
Absolutely true. I did realize that just before I ordered the toilet I wanted… which prompted a redesign of the rear closet to accommodate the new toilet! Extensive water damage had destroyed most of it anyway… the fun of a home on wheels!

Re: What material is shower surround? Anyone painted it?
Follow up on this: I tried the Krylon part on an area of the shower surround. Was not impressed! I've seen other pics from people that used epoxy paint, and that looked great, but would have been a difficult process for me, as I don't have the prep space to pull it off. I opted to not re-use the ori...

Re: Running with one tank out?
Follow up on this: Nothing needs to be done! I removed the rear tank, bagged and tied off all the hoses and electrical, zip tied them out of the way, and have been running the van like this without a problem. Got the new pump for the rear tank, POR-15'd the outside, and am debating the POR15 Tank Se...

Re: 12V Fridge connection
The Resolution: I am planning to do the converter upgrade in the next month or two, so I did my work anticipating that. I ran a new wire from the converter box (taking a feed directly from the battery + cable, which will be moved to its own circuit on the new DC board) to the fridge 12V+. I ran a ne...

Original fridge, toilet, bathroom parts, up for grabs!
I'm in the process of completing the renovation of my beast. I've replaced the fridge and the toilet, and it really seems a shame to just toss them out. Does anyone need either of these?!?! The toilet never gave me any problems. Just with the scope of the renovation, it seemed silly not to upgrade t...

Re: 12V Fridge connection
The fridge is just about mounted - working on re-routing a few wires... fun! What I'd like to do is add a circuit to the DC converter to run to the fridge. Where I'm stumped is how to add a circuit to the DC converter! Mine has 4 (or 5?) fuses mounted with a wire connected to each - where do we get ...

Running with one tank out?
I dropped the rear tank to replace the pump, and am finding some nasty rust. What do I need to do to safely run the van for a bit off the front with the rear tank out?!? Just need to make it the 60miles and back for Biketoberfest next weekend! Then the tank will get the TLC it needs...

I tried to find the Ford replacement - discontinued for the '90 model. No luck anywhere.
Ordered a Delphi - awaitng its arrival.
