Re: Need help with Gen Pipes!

I don't have a specific answer but a suggestion for you to consider. Look at the Cummins Onan Sales & Service web site - enter your zip code and see what shows up. You can change the drop down boxes to select RV, commercial, etc. http://power.cummins.com/sales-service-locator I went to my local ...

Looks like the posting was removed from Craigslist. Did you sell the van? Just curious, I'm not a buyer, but always want to know when a van finds a good home.

Re: Gen not producing power

Thank goodness for this forum. Problem solved based on the comments and pictures above. I changed the air filter and fuel filter on the generator today. After that I decided to make sure everything was working on AC from the generator. I realized the transfer switch under the couch was not kicking i...

Re: Spare Tire Jack

Well..... I still haven't found a jack and lug wrench in the van yet. Maybe it's hidden somewhere but I've looked into all the usual places such as under the couch, in closets and cupboards, under the refrigerator, behind the spare tire. Still no jack. So I'm considering purchasing a bottle jack fro...

Re: Newbies: Please read

Hi there, I just purchased a 1989 B190 in great condition. I'm working on modifying it to live in full time. Any helpful tips on modifications for full time use would be most appreciated. My current project is installing a kill switch to the battery (I live close to downtown Oakland CA) and repairi...

Re: Cleaning fiberglass top

Glad you made progress and the fiberglass looks better! Sounds like quite a bit of proverbial "elbow grease" was required. A friend of ours recently used Poli Ox and Poli Glow to restore their fiberglass front cap on an SOB trailer. I created a thread you can see here http://www.b190.com/v...

Re: 1998 B190 FOR SALE

The pictures I see on eBay look like it's nice van. The mileage seems reasonable. Your description on eBay is a little lacking - no details on what works, what doesn't, what's been upgraded, what hasn't, etc. I'm not a moderator but you're not supposed to post vans for sale on B190.com unless you co...

No I cannot. Give us some hints - what year, actors, director... something. It would be interesting to see.

Re: Poli Glow (Poli Ox) Fiberglass Reconditioning

Muscle. I looked at the Poli Glow web site and the product comes with a scrub brush that looks something like a 3M Scotch Brite pad - don't know the details but that's what it looks like. Some of the information I saw on the web site indicates you can use very fine wet/dry sandpaper if needed - 6000...

Poli Glow (Poli Ox) Fiberglass Reconditioning

I know there is a thread (or two) on the subject of removing oxidation from the fiberglass tops on B190's but thought the subject warranted a new thread based on a friends recent oxidation removal and reconditioning project. Our friend performed the work on the front fiberglass section of his SOB tr...

Re: ladders

Okay, guess I'll chime in here... We have a 1998 B190. It does not have a ladder on the rear door. I think it would be convenient to have an outdoor ladder so I could more easily wash and wax the exterior. For now, I use an 8-ft step ladder or use an extension ladder with padded protection to climb ...

Re: Thumping Behind Drivers Side Seat During Left Turns?

We were driving around on a really hot day and my son in the back said it was hot even with the dash A/C running on high. I turned on the generator and fired up the cabin roof A/C. Did this to exercise the generator too. Is it not good to run the generator and roof a/c while driving? We've driven w...

Re: Awnings on late model 190's?

I've included more photographs. You can see how the series of brackets account for the space as well as the angle of the roof. Hope these help. By the way, I called Airstream a while back for some other parts specific to the B190 front window in the bunk area. They indicated parts were available. Pe...

Re: Awnings on late model 190's?

I don't have our manuals handy but the awning on our 1998 is Dometic Horizon. It's mounted relatively low on the top section to avoid the stove exhaust vent. I don't have close-ups pictures of the mounting brackets but the front and rear brackets fill in the approximate 1" gap while the central...
