Microwave Replacement, or keep&clean this junker?

Think mine is a 1000 watt Panasonic. Have only used it when plugged in. You could put anything that fits and maybe even get a lower wattage unit.

Re: 1998 AIRSTREAM B-190 FOR SALE $19,500

Is this one still available? My neighbor is looking for one, after seeing mine, but I’m not sure his budget. Mine is a 1990 and the paint isn’t nice, so this would be a huge upgrade by comparison.

Re: Buying it back...

I know nothing about cars, but...since I also had the bad fuel issue, stalling, and our vans are a year apart, it may be the same issue as I had. My mechanic drained the rear tank (front tank fuel was fresh) and replaced both fuel pumps. Until my last trip, I hadn’t had a problem. It acted the same ...

Re: Solar Panel Mounting Diagrams

Thanks for posting these. I used them when we were trying to figure out where to mount my panel at the van build in November and again now that I'm looking to add more panels. How did your system turn out? What about the Battleborn batteries? I can't afford them now, but that's an upgrade I'd like t...

Re: Handgun Storage in B190

Following. I’m thinking the same thing, although for my tech. All the sages I’ve seen so far on Amazon have mixed reviews.

Re: What did you name your camper?

I’m in SoCal in the Inland Empire. I’m looking to urban boondock in the Bay Area, starting in the fall. Other than safe parking, I need access to an indoor pool with a deep end. Any ideas? I’m starting out with dispersed and paid camping in SoCal, just to get used to the rig and seeing what needs re...

Re: Buying it back...

Wow. I wish I was this handy. My generator starts but peters out. My 12 V plug seems too big for the car adapters I have, so I have no idea how I’ll be able to use 12V appliances without wasting power via the inverter. At least it seems to work mechanically. I had to have the brake calipers and some...

Re: My Couch Solution

Mine doesn’t have the drawer or I’d either have him install batteries in the drawer or turn it into a door. That would be great.

Re: My Couch Solution

Good question. He thought it would be easier for maintenance and replacement. I’m going to tell him no. He also wants to disassemble the bed to put the batteries in. It seems like a lot of extra work. I would think he could prop up the bed with some of the wood planks I have and/or run extra wire to...

Re: My Couch Solution

I’m just seeing this now. What a great mod! My mechanic wants to saw a whole and make a door for extra batteries under the couch. This would be so much more functional and make it useful storage.

Re: What did you name your camper?

Since I’m from a California, I decided she was a Latina. So her full name is Beatriz Esmeralda Frida Angelica Rosalinda or BE FAR. Frida after Frida Kahlo and Rosalinda after a friend who passed away far too young a few years ago. Her “paper name” is Camper Van Beethoven, because I *just* got their ...
