I bought a Master Flow MF-1050 after reading this and other articles about it (or another model just like it). A couple notes: 1. It didn't seem to want to start against a heavy load - I blew two fuses before I figured out that it ran fine without a load but when I tried to start it against 60 PSI i...

Changed my mind - I put the spare on the camper and will put the new tire on the rim that has the blown-out tire. Much to my surprise, the spare is actually holding 40 psi - I've never touched it, never tried to inflate it. It's not safe to actually drive on, I think, since it's all dry-rotted, but ...

<Scotty>Cap'n, I dinnae think she can take any more!</Scotty> http://rjmarq.org/airstream190/images/flat_tire.jpg I believe I may have found the problem! Took the camper up to the dump station on I-95 today - but before I left I inflated the rear tires to 60-65 PSI (I couldn't get the one in the pic...

I needed to replace one. No one has ever noticed the clone as different from the OEM.
Sorry - missed that, too. :)

Alaskan, I think the ones I ordered (from eBay) have a chrome center cap with a blue Ford logo.

No, I haven't... wow. I have noticed that some of the nozzles seem to have very little extra room because of the relatively low height of the van, but so far I haven't failed to get propane. I have small carpets (they're floor mats for the back seat of a car, I think) and I always grab the one for t...

Think I'll go with the matte - since the body of mine is kind of rough in many places, putting shiny hubcaps on it may just highlight how rough the rest of it is!

Re: Vibration

After doing the wheel alignment drill, replacing a bad rim, rotating tires, etc. Took the van to a drive train place. My drive shaft was out of balance - they checked out the unit for free. So, take your van in to a drive line shop. They should eval for free and let you know if your problem is U-jo...

Re: How do you add a photo to a forum post?

I have seen photos in posts - how is that done? Basically, the photo is placed somewhere then linked using the [ img] [ /img] tags (without the spaces). You can use http://Photobucket.com , which is what Alaskan did with the pictures in the chat thread. It's a free service that hosts photos for you...

Oh, yeah, I definitely agree. If I'd realized they fit I'd have gotten a set years ago. :) Hmm...matte for $69 or bright chrome for $89. I can't decide but I'm leaning to the chrome ones (which, of course, are the more expensive  )... Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the estimate for moving my HV...

Re: Nice Lineup/Baaad furnace

Hi Skater, just wanted to say something about a furnace in the attic. I have one and hate it. It's really a pain to go up every year and change filters, not to mention the fact that the filter gets a lot dirtier than in a ground level unit, and it lets you know right away by the amount of dust that...
