Re: Anyone replaced window latches - upper front?

Thanks 91B910. Did you buy some windows and if so, from whom? Thanks.

Re: LT265/75R16 load range E

I have been running these tires on stock rims for over 28,000 miles. No problems. You just may have to cut a bit off the ends of the front bumper caps for clearance. Best of luck.

Re: Cab lights

Got it! You turn it counter clock wise. Just turn a bit harder.

Re: Cab lights - Which direction?

Which direction do you rotate the headlight switch to activate the dome lights? I have tried both clockwise and counter clockwise on my 1993. I turned it both ways until I hit pretty firm resistance, but the lights did not come on. They do come on when the door is open.

Thanks.

Re: Another new from Minnesota

If you have a few mechanical skills, an old B-190 fills many needs. Be sure to estimate the costs of repairs and upgrades (tires, antisway bars, etc.) when you do your budget. We've put 28,000 miles on our 1993 and are still pleased.

Re: Forum updated... 1/23/16

Thanks for all the work, Skater. My wife and I are looking at some newer options for travel (maybe a Lazy Daze), and she remarked, "But we'd keep the B-190, right?" ABSOLUTELY!!!

Re: Generator won't stay on

It may be something as simple as a new spark plug and a carburetor adjustment. If you are not mechanically inclined, you'll need to find someone that is. I use an small RV repair shop that is very reasonable.

Re: Dampening the Doghouse Noise

Hi there, After tearing out all the carpet in my 1993, I installed Dynamat sound deadening material on all floor surfaces, in the doors, and on the back inside wheel wells. It took several large boxes of the material, but the noise reduction was dramatic. The I installed tile flooring and some throw...

Re: Sprinter chassis experience out there?

Thanks for all the posts. I am not too concerned about rust in my location and travel areas - NM, AZ, and central CA, but maintenance costs and availability are my biggest question marks.

Sprinter chassis experience out there?

Hello all, I believe some of you have had some experience with the Mercedes chassis/engine. Pros and cons on about any RV brand, new or used would be appreciated. Direct experience on maintenance issues, parts and service costs would be helpful. The old '93 is hanging in there for now- just like to ...

Great work - like the color. The wife vetoed gray/silver for now. It is cooler inside - I'm sure you'll notice the difference.

Pretty inspiration stuff! We stripped the shower and toilet out last year - like the extra storage space.

Re: Traveling across the entire USA.

Yes, I had problems getting the propane filled on one occasion at Ferrell Gas. Had to back onto very high leveling blocks (back passenger side tire) so they could get the hose and fitting underneath. I have the yellow plastic blocks. It was a bit of a tricky exercise. We use an electric oil filled r...
